What is the supernatural virtue of hope?

I noticed water isn't mentioned...The one Spirit is. You do understand that baptism has several forms? I presented some of those verses earlier.

Do you honestly think every time baptism is mentioned it refers to water baptism?
The Christian sacrament of baptism does yes eph 4:5

John prepared the way by “water baptism”!
Jesus says “water baptism” Mk 16:16 Jn 3:5 apostles say “water baptism” acts 2:38-39 acts 22:16 1 pet 3:20-21 God says “water baptism” ez 36:25-27
Jn 3:22 they immediately went to the river (water) and they baptized!

I'm not following you...is this a typo?

Ezekiel 36:25

King James Version

25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

sprinkling is acceptable

You left out the second part of the verse...why? Baptism wasn't mentioned.

Would you like me to present to you the verses where people in Acts were saved and not baptized?
No one is saved until death Mk 13:13 Matt 24:13

Mark 16:16 The requirements for those who are being saved cannot be undone by the requirements for those not being saved! He who believes and is baptized is still required for salvation? Heaven and earth may pass away but my words shall not pass away!

It is Reasonable that if one rejects faith why bother mentioning the second requirement?

So don’t negate the word of God or Jesus by trying to delete one verse with another.

1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

“Faith alone” Questions

where does ez 36: 25:27 Say “faith alone”?

where does scripture says we have died with Christ by “faith alone”?

Where does it say we are sealed by faith alone?

Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

where does scripture say we are members of Christ and his church by “faith alone”?

1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

where does scripture says we put on Christ by “faith alone”?

Galatians 3:27
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Where does scripture say our sins are washed away by “faith alone”?

Acts 22:16
And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

where does scripture say we are saved or justified by “faith alone”?

1 pet 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us!

The only reference in scripture to “faith alone” is James 2:24 NOT BY “FAITH ALONE”?

2 pet 1: 11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

How can you enter by your own if it must be ministered to you? Baptism is done unto you, “not do it yourself by faith alone”

Ministered by the apostolic church!

2 Corinthians 8:19
And not that only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and declaration of your ready mind:

Jn 3:5 born again by faith alone?

Where is “Accept Christ as your personal lord & savior” is found in scripture?

They did not go preaching this line but went immediately to the river and baptized Jn 3:22

Acts 22:16
And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

Galatians 3:27
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Eph 4:5 one baptism

Why don’t it say one teeny tiny little act of “faith alone”???

When we first believed we are saved?

Romans 13:11
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

How can salvation be nearer than when we first believed if you’re saved by believing?

1 pet 1:9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

Matt 24:13 endures to the end Shall be saved.

How can salvation happen when we first believed if it’s the end?

If salvation is by “faith alone” then faith would be the greatest!
1 cor 13:13 charity is the greatest!

Even all faith much less “faith alone” without charity avails nothing!
1 cor 13:2

The early Catholic Church fathers say faith and baptism!

Eph 5:24 the church is subject to Christ and has always taught and practiced “baptismal regeneration” and never “faith alone” if anyone says we are justified by “faith alone” let them be anathema! (condemned)

Matt 28:19 disciples by faith and baptism

Lk 8
The parable of the sower, all four had faith are they all not saved?

Lk 23:39 did not the bad thief say; save us? “Faith alone”?

Lk 18:14
Why did the publican not mention Jesus Christ or make a profession of belief, but prayer and virtue!

Why must we also suffer?
Faith alone not enough”?

Romans 8:17
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and I joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

2 Timothy 2:12
If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:

Phil 1:29 not called to believe alone but also to suffer for Christ’s sake.

Matthew 10:38
And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

Matt 24:13 endures “in Christ” to the end shall be saved.

Matthew 16:24
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Where does it say “faith alone”?

“Faith alone” ain’t biblical!

Was Jesus sprinkled with Jordan River water like you insist baptism is to be applied?

1 Corinthians 12:13
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
Are you now claiming a Catholic priest is a spirit performing baptisms?

You left out the second part of the verse...why? Baptism wasn't mentioned.

Would you like me to present to you the verses where people in Acts were saved and not baptized?
Matthew 10:22
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Was Jesus sprinkled with Jordan River water like you insist baptism is to be applied?
no I never insisted as you misunderstood

Immersion, sprinkling and pour water are all acceptable!
Are you now claiming a Catholic priest is a spirit performing baptisms?
they perform the physical baptism in washing by water the Holy Spirit in the washing of the soul by grace

Matthew 10:22
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Endure wha?
To the end of what?
Saved from what?
no I never insisted as you misunderstood

Immersion, sprinkling and pour water are all acceptable!

they perform the physical baptism in washing by water the Holy Spirit in the washing of the soul by grace

Eternal salvation
End of your life
Endures a life of suffering and penance possible persecution m

Where does the bible say this?

The biblical text in this instance is referring to the tribulation. All one has to do is read the surrounding verses to see that. Why haven't you done that?

Oh, I get it....rather than going to the bible and looking for yourself...you only go by what you have been "taught".

Matt 24 maybe but certainly not Matt 10 or the 20plus other verses that says not saved

Already saved don’t need a pastor

What good is the supernatural virtue of hope?

Does the “false doctrine” of eternal security reject the virtue of Hope?

The Greek word for 'hope' is like the Spanish word for 'hope'. It is more than just "wish-think". It includes "expectation".

What good is the supernatural virtue of hope?

Does the “false doctrine” of eternal security reject the virtue of Hope?

Thanks
The true doctrine of eternal security "born again from above" by and through the incorruptible seed as the living word. It make the false doctrine of the oral tradition of dying mankind of limbo and purgatory to no effect .

Eternal life is not dying sufferings wondering , suffering wondering with no end of faith the salvation of one's soul in sight.

The believer according to (1 Peter 1:9) receive the end of the new born again faith from the first hearing of the gospel

They don't work to gain salvation. His salvation works in them to both hear the will and empower us to do it to his good pleasure (Philippians 2:13)

1 Peter 1:2Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Catholicism makes the incorruptible seed to no effect by claiming its Holy Water. Blessed by the worshipable or venerable ones like the Pope They say that (H20) causes rebirth. Hoping dying flesh could profit for something

Therefore not mixing the two the planting of the seed and the watering of the living abiding word the same water of the word Christ washes us with. . the living word of God (sola scriptura)

Salvations does not come from the dying hands of mankind. As apostles they are sent ones "messengers" not highly venerable.. . puffed up dying fleshy ones

The apostles as messengers preach the the word and water it with the doctrines that fall like rain and not the doctrines of dying men earthly inspired.

God alone is the one good teaching Master. Every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. We receive no reward form the apostles. That kind of idea is a oral tradition of dying mankind.

1 Corinthian 3: 4-8 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?. . . . . . . (of the dying flesh)Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers( not saviors) by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he (Paul) that planteth any thing,(nothing) neither he that watereth; (Apollos) but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

No increase from our Holy Father not seen . . . .no salvation

Remember we are as nothing "dying mankind" We can preach blessed by our one Holy Father who moves dying mankind . The invisible head of the church. Again we can preach the gospel His good news. . not good news of dying manind .

He the one good teaching Master. he alone does all the teaching and saving . . not leaving us fatherless with no understanding .

Our Holy Father brings daily to our memory the previous things he has taught us that are born from above (John 14) . We pray give us this day our daily bread (the understanding of his faithfulness of His eternal will). . and lead us not into temptation.

The will of the Pope leads us away from the will of our one Holy good teaching master Christ .

Not the Pope a daysman, used of the tempter. He vanishing according to hearing of gospel. Three time the Father in heaven *not Rome" gave living words to the prophet Jesus, it is written (sola scriptura) again and again.

Struck him out sent him back to the bottomless dugout . He never saw the faith of Christ that worked in the son of man Jesus coming through the Holy Father alone . . . a real change up, never saw it coming . Strike three you're out here. Throws a curves that goes around the world. Will you catch the gospel today ?

Matthew 4: 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Not serving dying mankind the Pope.

There is not defence against the faith of Christ as it is writen(sola scriptura) It as it is written is the power of our unseen Holy Father the power that defends us as the sword of the Spiert. Put on armor and keep it on then you might hit one out of the park grand slam

I was baptized when only 16, 16 days old. Amen

I wet myself 1 minute after birth .I was was really cold but did not turn to ice.

I would offer did you search the sola scriptura as for silver or gold for that kind of strange doctrine of dying mankind oral traditions "I heard it through the legion of fathers grape vine" ?

Did by the the water a rudiment of this dying world evaporate by the 17th day? ?

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy (and not sola scriptura) and vain deceit, (venerable dying mankind) after the tradition of men,(law of the dying fathers) after the rudiments (H20) of the world, and not after Christ.

The Greek word for 'hope' is like the Spanish word for 'hope'. It is more than just "wish-think". It includes "expectation".
Expectations of future salvation! “IF”?
If we abide in Christ and endure to the end!
Thanks
