The Holy Spirit in the Old Testament (John Oswalt)

please notice exactly what 1Pe 1: 10 - 12 is saying
:10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
:11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of The ANOINTING / CHRIST which was IN them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
:12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Spirit Holy sent down from heaven.......................
this is explaining that the prophets did not receive the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ - Jesus Christ was never revealed to them

Christ / The Anointing was IN these Old Testament prophets as they suffered as prophets. With Christ in them .... their very suffering that they endured for the sake of the Anointing / Christ in them signified and declared and testified the suffering of Christ / The Anointing - the Son Of God - to come in the future.
this was not revealed to them as knowledge and understanding they understood - this was kept secret, hidden from them.
they are a testimony that the Anointing / Christ was in them - they did not testify of the Son Of God, " Jesus, but they testified of the Spirit of the Anointing, Jesus he did not yet exist / manifest in human flesh and was not yet born as the son
the Son, Jesus never was Co Eternal, Co Equal nor Co omnipresent Son - the Spirit of God in him is the selfsame one eternal God manifested in flesh as the Christ / Anointing by the word manifesting the anointing of the one Spirit, holy of the father
Joh 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
Luk 8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word ,
1Pe 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
2Pe 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God heaven and earth were created
1Jn 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
1Jn 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word , in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
Rev 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The word of God.
the word is what the spirit of the father always commands and sends - as a manifestation of anointing / Christ - the word.
Act 3:18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.
Rom 8:9 you are in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. if any man have not the Spirit of the Anointing, he is none of his.
Php 1:19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus the Anointing
there is one single spirit that is God himself - the Spirit Holy of the Father - Christ / The Anointing Jesus was the application and visible manifestation of the Spirit, Holy
