Pentecostal Believers.

Its members believe they are driven by the power of God moving within them. Pentecostal churches stress the importance of conversions that amount to a Baptism in the Spirit. This fills the believer with the Holy Spirit, which gives the believer the strength to live a truly Christian life

Bible Verses About Empowerment

2 Corinthians 12:9

9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Deuteronomy 31:6

6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Acts 1:8

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

1 John 4:4

Luke 10:19-20

19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

I come from a Pentecostal background. I however would call it somewhat conservative. I don't believe in prosperity preaching, in the sense of, giving to God He will give to you. Although I do believe in the principle of generosity, that as we give to help needs, God will supply our needs so we can continue to be generous.

I say all of that because the first thing people think of when you mention the term Pentecostal is money.

I do believe in the power of God. But even then I have seen that God limits that power. I have prayed for and seen sick people healed purely by prayer alone. But not every person I have prayed for, or the churches I have attended have prayed for have experienced healing.

I have experienced God's life-changing power, before I was saved sin controlled me, and now I am for the most part free of any known sin.

I have also experienced some dreams and visions from God. As an example, God told me there would be a war with Russia through three dreams. One was very specific and contained events that happened in the war with Ukraine, like the men having to leave their families and stay in Ukraine to fight. The dream suggested that when this war occurred we were entering a time close to Jesus's return.

I have also been given a vision of events that would lead to a man coming out to church. He showed me intimate details of the man, who had been attacked previously with a knife. He asked me before I met the man, "How would I like to be stabbed?", meaning would I enjoy it, the obvious answer being "no". The day after receiving the vision I met the man, who eventually came to church.

So in answer, as a Pentecostal, I do believe in and have seen the power of God at work.

....Pentecostal churches stress the importance of conversions that amount to a Baptism in the Spirit. ...

Some Pentecostals believe that regeneration and Spirit baptism are two separate spiritual experiences. So, Spirit baptism is not part of salvation. While others believe that Spirit baptism is one of the subsequences to regeneration and is part of salvation. My position is that repentance and faith are inseparable, even though we systematically distinguish them, but repentance cannot exist apart from faith in conversion. I believe faith and repentance in conversion is a one-step process. Because regeneration precedes faith (1 John 2:29; 3:9; 4:7; 5:1, 4, 18) and faith is an ongoing process into justification (Romans 5:1), adoption (Galatians 3:26), sanctification (Acts 26:18) etc., but repentance isn't.

A person can be saved without having the Spirit baptism. Again, after conversion, faith itself is continuous and on-going process in the subsequences following after regeneration, and Spirit baptism is received by faith (Galatians 3:2, 14 "...so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit"). But the Spirit baptism always happens after conversion, it can be either immediate or an unspecified timing when receiving the Spirit baptism, as long it occurs after conversion. While it's true that God's timing is not our timing and there is no specified time-range between "after-conversion" and "Spirit baptism." It can follow up immediately after the conversion or an unspecified timing after conversion. Either way there is an unspecified timing between conversion and the Spirit baptism. It would appear that those who received the Spirit baptism immediately right after the conversion experience. They didn't realize that there was a brief interval between conversion and Spirit baptism.

Do we have any Pentecostal believers here?

Bible Verses About Empowerment........

How is any of this related to Arminianism and Calvinism?

I grew up in a Pentecostal church and have a good handle on Pentecostal beliefs.

However, I would not describe myself as Pentecostal today.

Not true. With the exception of the minority "Oneness Pentecostal" bunch, there NO CONNECTION WHATSOEVER between being "Born again" (infilled with the Holy Spirit - john 20:22 ) i.e. the Holy SPirit IN the believer, and the "Enduement of power from on high" (Acts 2:4) referred to as the "Baptism in the Holy SPirit i.e. the Holy SPirit ON the believer.
