Parable of the ten Virgins

The ten virgins were invited to be guests at the wedding feast. In the parable they are not the bride

I need some clarification. Are you referring to Luke 14:15-24?

In this parable it wasn't because "invited virgins" (guests) were restricted from attending a supper, here the guests refused to attend and gave many excuses. Conversely, in the parable of the ten virgins, everyone wanted to attend and they were even anxious to meet the bridegroom but half of them were not adequately prepared to keep their lamp vessels filled in order to stay punctual and meet the bridegroom at the appointed time.

The overall conclusion was:

"Therefore stay alert, because you do not know the day or the hour." Matthew 25:13

Ah yes - thanks. I was obviously not paying attention to the forest while admiring the leaves for a minute here.

Introduction
The parable of the ten virgins or wise and foolish virgins is about the fake Jesus (false prophet) coming to Earth and fooling half the Christians. Rather than being killed, the foolish virgins take the mark of the beast. When the real Jesus shows up he rejects them.

Notice that the parable uses bridegroom. Who is the bridegroom? Anyone. It is the fake Jesus at the beginning and the real one at the end.

In reality, the fake Jesus is a Muslim who calls himself Jesus and accompanies the Islamic Mahdi. Those two are demons who do a planetary takeover. The mark of the beast is the name Allah in Arabic with two swords underneath. Now you see why the fake Jesus could be so convincing.

Main
Half the Christians are fooled by the fake Jesus. They did not think about the [words in the Bible - the oil]. When the fake Jesus came they needed to go to the words in the Bible in order to understand what to do, but it was too late. One has to think about and gain understanding before the fake Jesus arrives.

Note
The concepts here are derived from the parable of the sower. A parable lays out the issues. The issues usually must be applied to a real world scenario that is independent of the parable.

The context is certainly about end-time events and ^this^ narrative is a unique point of view indeed. Is it your own or do you have a reference that you can supply for further in-depth reading? Most people agree that the context of the ten virgins is about the end times and that Matthew 24: 11 supplies part of the thrust of events that must occur.

According to the parable, both the wise and the foolish begin on the same footing being asleep and when all of them were alerted to meet the bridegroom they were anxiously getting ready but the foolish realized were not adequately prepared. It was the wise virgins that told them to purchase what was required in order to meet the bridegroom at the proper time and place.

A wise virgin would never tell a foolish virgin to pay a number of false prophets for any old "advice" (oil) in order to provide light for the path to the bridegroom's door.

The Parable of the Sower is a different narrative where seeds are spread on different kinds of ground instead of everyone being on equal footing (sleeping) as in the parable of the ten virgins. There are four separate responses to the gospel in this parable and only 25% are saved.

That's my own take on events. Although, the reference to Islam is actually based on Islamic prophecy. The mark of the beast based on Allah is my own take.

This video explains a little about Islamic prophecy and the Mahdi (Antichrist) and Islamic Jesus (false prophet).
The Mahdi and the Antichrist - YouTube

I referenced the parable of the sower because we have the parable and Jesus interprets it for us. Notice how the parable is about a farmer and his crop/seed problems. Yet, the interpretation has nothing to do with farming. So what did Jesus do? In effect, I'm trying to do the same thing. Apply the parable of the ten virgins to a real world situation that naturally explains the parable.

Kind of weird that all the virgins are sleeping in the parable, but I noticed that a lot of that is going on today. Lots of Christians sleeping.

The Ten Virgins
Matthew 25:1-13
(NKJV) “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

Matthew 25:2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

The Greek word means prudent, to make proper decisions

five were foolish.
Greek word morose which means morons

Matthew 25:3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them

Matthew 25:9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’

The Ten Virgins

Professing Christians without any experience with God and possessing Christians who have confessed and professed and possessed salvation waiting for the wedding procession of the bride’s home to the home of her husband.

Matthew 25:6 And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’
Matthew 25:7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.

trimmed their lamps or those who have the lamp of the Holy Spirit, their lamps Professing Christians without any experience with God and possessing Christians who have confessed and professed and possessed salvation

The Working of Virgins

The second five were foolish (the vine of Israel)

Answer half of them profess it but don’t possess it, the foolish ones (Titus 1:16) they have the anointing, but deny the Holy Spirit, the other half possess the five Virgins anointing and live it.

Matthew 25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
Matthew 25:11 Afterward the other (five were foolish virgins) came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’
Matthew 7:22-23 Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'
And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

Matthew 25:3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them

The Lamp is the fire, the person, or in other words the Holy Spirit burns day and night, five Virgins of them are wises (the branch of the Gentile) sealed with the promise of the Holy Spirit

Ephesians 1:13 (NKJV) In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

Romans 11:25 (NKJV) For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

Matthew 25:12-13 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’
Watch, therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

Matthew 25:12-13 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’
Watch, therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

The second theory is that half of them have the Holy Spirit working and are following and obedient to the word of God the other half do not have the Holy Spirt but the spirit of error (II Thess. 2:11) it, will be obedient to God
Because see (Galatian 1:8; II Corinthians 11: 4; I John 4:6)

Wow! That is a meaty response.

A lot of food-for-thought.

I believe this is a great pastoral sermon by Christ. And he is speaking of the state of his church. As there will be goats among the sheep.

Again, I think it's talking about the state of the church. And that it is not sufficient to profess to follow Jesus but we must also persevere.

"Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him." ( James 1:12, NIV)

Indeed our faith is tested. A professed faith that is not evident by one's behavior isn't a person that abides in Jesus. Abiding is a crucial paradigm for a follower of Jesus. Not being prepared is evidence of not abiding.

When the bridegroom comes he will know his bride because they have received the gift of the Spirit (which is the oil). It seems obvious the lamps would be the heart.

I couldn't agree more. The five wise virgins are going to be washed by the Holy Spirit and the bridegroom knows his own.

"But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life." ( Titus 3: 4- 7 )

The Bridegroom is Christ of course, the time of the wedding is at his second coming. I think the "night" refers to the churches state in the world 5 As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept.

Yes - night is consistent with a spiritual state of our world.

Also the virgins are those who profess Christ. But the wise virgins are the true believers. Those who are foolish are those who have tasted of the heavenly gift (as in Hebrews 6) but have not perservered.

Piles of agreement here. If one has tasted, immersed themselves, and were completely enlightened about the gift of salvation but then deliberately chooses to proceed onward toward the path of destruction, they have rejected the -only- means of salvation.

Thanks Matt for the video, very informative. I was taught many, many years ago from God`s word that Islam would arise.

Here is an idea:

Faith Tested

This envisioned topic is not about testing God as the Jews did at at Massah in Exodus 17: 2 ( Deuteronomy 6:16 ), it's about exploring the depths of one's faith through testing using the tools at hand. The toolbox is enormous using a biblical scaffolding coupled directly to logic and reason, morality, critical thinking, and christian philosophy.

- Psalm 26:2 - "Examine me, O LORD, and test me! Evaluate my inner thoughts and motives!" (NET)
- Psalm 139:23 - "Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:" (KJV)
- Matthew 13:3-9 - The parable of the Sower.
- James 1:12 - "Blessed is the one who endures trials, because when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him." (CSB)
