Here's Mars, showing the polar cap.

I used a Fujifilm X-H1 (bought second-hand for a bargain price) and a Tamron 18-300mm lens (also second-hand - I'm not rich!).

Here's another bee picture from yesterday, which I think is a bit better than the one I posted earlier.

Yes, a much better image! Very good composure, excellent focal point, and contrast.

WOW, LA, what kind of camera/telescope set up are you using for these deep space shots? I don’t have and auto drive on my telescope so it’s difficult to get a clear shot of anything but the moon. My telescope is only a small 4” refractor.

Orion is my favorite constellation!
I have picture of Orion too. I'll post them tomorrow. Right now I'm focusing on getting pictures of the Milky Way, and Saturn.

I’m still in single A ball; you’re at least sniffing the big leagues with your stuff, probably already called up! I’m try to do some digital stuff with my telescope but am waiting for some clearer nights to come in the fall.

I got very lucky, Doug. I got the CPC-1100 from a fellow student of my wife's astronomy class. She was moving out of town and didn't want to lug along with her, due to it behemoth size. So, I bought for $1000. With the accessories, I got very lucky again, meeting a guy on Cloudy Nights Forum, and bought his whole set-up EP's, Baader 2" Diagonal BBHS, Filters, for a remarkable price that I couldn't say no, but felt very guilty and offered to pay more money because TV's are not cheap. He declined, he said he just wanted a good home for them. He was reaching an age where his body was giving him too many problems.

I'm waiting for the New Moon, going to my dark site to take picture of Saturn and it's 4 moons.
I don't have a telescope, so I have nothing like your reach, but I thought I'd try a moon shot last night.

Here's an older moon shot (from January), taken for the effect with the clouds.
