Nature Photos

A recent shot of cliffs, on the coast of N.E. Scotland.

That is funny. It is very true that I love stormy weather, be it any season. But I like it to come in smaller increments. I must see the sun, and plenty of it. I lived in the desert of So Cal for many years and I love the desert, love it dearly with its wide open vastness and distant mountain ranges, and it's very harshness. There is nothing like the wild scent of desert morning air. But oh how I would long for crashing thunderstorms, and cold fronts racing in cloud banks from the north, and snow, and snow, and snow. Then gracious and graceful spring. Hot long days of summer and the new life of autumn. Now I have all that, and though sometimes my memory catches that desert scent and my eyes hunger for the long view, I am content.

I am always amazed of God's creation. I am a nature lover, I take nature pictures as well, I'll upload some. Nice Picture David!!!
Yes, God's creation is amazing!

Thanks for the compliment. I was bending double and couldn't see properly what it looked like, when I took it. It turned out better than expected.

It'll be good to see your pictures.

Poetically put.

A busy bee.

Wow. What camera and lens are you using?
I used a Fujifilm X-H1 (bought second-hand for a bargain price) and a Tamron 18-300mm lens (also second-hand - I'm not rich!).

Here's another bee picture from yesterday, which I think is a bit better than the one I posted earlier.

WoW, the intricate detail is mind blowing. Great picture! You can see the pollen on the bee...😲

Thanks, but I actually didn't get the pictures as sharp as they should have been, because I had the camera set to single point autofocus, when I should have been using continuous autofocus in zone mode. It was a basic error, when photographing quickly moving subjects (and the bees would not stay still!).

Here's my astronomy pictures. Some are clear due to clear skies and light pollution. And others from a dark site away from cities lights.
