Jesus, peter, keys matt 16

The V is a Germanic influence upon the Hebrew language. The e vowel was introduced between 600 AD and 1000 AD.

Note that the vowels are all " a."
יהוה Yahwah

The vowels are "a" in the Brown-Driver-Briggs, the NIV Exhaustive Concordance, and the Strong's Exhaustive Concordances.

Yahwah's name was in the original New Testament scriptures

After killing Hebrew Christians, the Jews would take the New Testament scripture written in Hebrew, and carefully cut the name of God out. Then they would place the divine name in a safe place to keep. Following that, they then would burn the remainder of the scrolls in a fire. Rabbi Yose who lived during the second century AD states that, "One cuts out the reference to the Divine Name which are in them [the New Testament writings] and stores them away, and the rest burns." One of his characteristic sayings is, "He who proclaimed the coming of the Messiah,[John] and he who hated scholars [Yahshua] and his disciples; and that false prophet and those slanderers, will have no part in the future world." According to Wilhelm Bacher this was directed against the Hebrew Christians. And so it is an established fact then, that the Disciples of Christ did in fact write the Holy Name of God into the original New Testament.

I come in the name of Yahwah.
Psalm 118:26
Blessed is he who comes in the name of (the Lord / Yahwah.) From the house of (the Lord / Yahwah) we bless you.

Matthew 23:39
For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of (the Lord / Yahwah.)’”

Luke 13:35
Look, your house is left to you desolate. I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of (the Lord / Yahwah.)’”

Yahwah and Yahshua.

Aramaic spelling ישוע is for (Joshua / Yahshua)

The single initial Hebrew letter Yod stands for the short form of God's name Yah.

Because Hebrews dropped their 'ayins', to keep from saying God's name, hence we have "y'shua." Also spelled Yeshua, for which we have in Greek, "Iēsous" and "Isus." These are corruptions of the names that begin with "Yah."

Yah (Hebrew: יהּ‎‎ Yah) is a short form of Yahwah (in consonantal spelling YHWH Hebrew: יהוה‎‎, called the Tetragrammaton), the proper name of God in the Hebrew Bible. This short form of the name occurs 50 times in the text of the Hebrew Bible, of which 24 form part of the phrase "Halleluyah".

Jesus: The English form "Jesus" was not seen nor spoken until after the year 1525,
when Sir William Tyndale a Protestant Reformer from Oxford, England --- invented it!

Exodus 23:21
Pay attention to him and listen to what he says. Do not rebel against him; he will not forgive your rebellion, since my Name is in him.

John 17:11
I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name—the name you gave me—so that they may be one as we are one.

Hebrews 2:12
He says, “I will declare your name to my brothers; in the presence of the congregation I will sing your praises.”
Except the NT writings are in GREEK, not HEBREW, so why should the Rabbis give a rip?
This sounds like “First Century Conspiracy Theory” … did the Illuminati store the cut out words in Area 51?

Every word Of God has meaning attached to it.

Names represent the immutable attributes of God not visible to the eye.

God does not have a human name needed to tell apart one from another. He is not a creation .Not hey you over there come here .

He magnifies the gospel (sola scriptura) above every attribute. If not, we could have no confidence .Then it becomes. Who has the secret password then we can fellowship.

Psalm 138:1-3I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.;I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.;

God the faithful "let there be" a good "labor of love"

... and where was this cache of cut out names discovered that includes the Hebrew name of GOD with the correct vowels rather than the vowels for "Adonai" to remind the reader not to SAY the name of GOD when reading it out loud?

That is what earned the snark about "Area 51". Every other scholar I heard claims that the exact pronunciation of the Hebrew name of GOD has been lost because the vowels were never written down and preserved.

Exalting Mary to a status above us plebs, is worship; you are ascribing divinity to her, and placing superstitious trust in her supposed position of your (RCC) own making. That is idolatry. Worship.
sorry but I have been told to discuss these topics only in the catholic forum!

obedience is a royal virtue of Jesus Christ!

Hi Don

Do you support Catholicism to every Catholic doctrine?? Or Is Mary our blessed sister in the Lord not one of them?

It would seem to be a matter of which teaching authority is the true infallible teaching master knowing no man can serve the oral traditions I heard it through the legion of venerable patron saint grapevine that some call sacred. The Roman Catholic, book of written law their own bible and sola scriptura. Hate one love the other.

Which one today?

Concealing the name of God

Concealing the name of God was not only a custom, it was also made a law.

The sages quoted, "This is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations" (Ex. iii. 15). Here the word "le-'olam" (forever) is written defectively, being without the "waw" for the vowel "o," which renders the reading "le-'allem" (to conceal; Ḳid. 71a).

Forty years prior to the destruction of the Temple, the priests ceased to pronounce the Name (Yoma39b). From that time the pronunciation of the Name was prohibited. "Whoever pronounces the Name forfeits his portion in the future world" (Sanh. xi. 1).

30 AD to 70 AD.
Abba Saul (2d cent.) condemned the profanation of the Tetragrammaton by classing those "that speak the Name according to its letters," with those who have no part in the future world (Sanh. x. 1); and according to 'Ab. Zarah 17b, one of the martyrs of Hadrian's time, Hananiah b. Teradion, was burned at the stake because he so uttered the Name.

The view that prayer is more effectual if the name of God is pronounced in it as it is written caused the scholars of Kairwan to address a question in the eleventh century to Hai Gaon with reference to the pronunciation of the Shem ha-Meforash, to which he answered that it might not be uttered at all outside the Holy Land (Hai Gaon, "Ṭa'am Zeḳenim," p. 55; see Löw, "Gesammelte Schriften," i. 204).

Because Hebrews dropped their 'ayins', to keep from saying God's name, hence we have "y'shua." Also spelled Yeshua, for which we have in Greek, "Iēsous" and "Isus." These are corruptions of the names that begin with "Yah."

Thirteen theophoric names with "Yeho" have corresponding forms where the letters eh have been omitted. There is a theory by Christian Ginsburg that this is due to Hebrew scribes omitting the "h", changing Jeho (יְהוֹ‎) into Jo (יוֹ‎), to make the start of "Yeho-" names not sound like an attempt to pronounce the Divine Name.

Last Days.
Zechariah 13:9
This third I will put into the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name and I will answer them; I will say, ‘They are my people,’ and they will say, ‘Yahwah is our God.’”

Yahwah reveals His name to Moses
Exodus 3:13-15.
13 And Moses said to Elohiym, “Suppose I go to the siblings of the Israelites and say to them, 'The Elohiym of your forefathers has sent me to you,' and they ask me, 'What is His name?' What shall I say to them?”
14 And Elohiym said to Moses, “The Living that Lives. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'The Living has sent me to you.”
15 And Elohiym also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, 'Yahwah, the Elohiym of your forefathers; the Elohiym of Abraham, the Elohiym of Isaac and the Elohiym of Jacob has sent me to you.' That’s my name forever, the name by which I’m to be remembered, from generation to generation.”

Exodus 6:3
I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob as God Almighty, but by my name Yahwah I did not make myself fully known to them.

Yahwah
A note on the words hawah and hayah.
Quote from pages 217 and 218 of the Brown-Driver-Briggs. Ref # 3068-69 on page 217.
Brown-Driver-Briggs on page 218 states that, "Many recent scholars explain יהוה‎ as Hiph. of הוה equals היה "

הוה hawah / HWH is hawah.
היה hayah / HYH is hayah.

Note that the vowels are all " a."
יהוה Yahwah
The vowels are "a" in the Brown-Driver-Briggs, the NIV Exhaustive Concordance, and the Strong's Exhaustive Concordances.

The name Yahwah is from the Aramaic, not the Hebrew.

The original spelling of God's name is Yahuah, later changed to Yahwah for modern English.

God is not a man as us

God has no name as humans do . George, Gary, Gertrude, Pamala, Tony. Bobby e.t.c.

Names are immutable attributes. He has many.

God is jealous, God is Light, God Is Spirit, God is Love. God is Almighty, God is omnipresent and omnipotent (e.t.c.)

He raises the integrity of his living word above all his names as attributes.

No secret coded password to enter fellowship (YHWH).

Psalm 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name

All of the attributes work as one .."Let there be"

In that way we do not divide and multiply that which God calls one. The work of the devil to divide, Just as what God call many, he reduces to one (no spiritual value. . . . gospel)

Yahwah is God's name.
God's name means "Life Began." There is nothing more holy than life.

Elohiym is one of God's many titles.

Elohiym: "God of the living ones."
elohiym: "god-s of "The Living One."

All the debate is interesting, but what if the evidence shows that Jesus never made the comment in Matthew 16:18-19?

Indeed. And what if the evidence showed that you were born last Thursday?

lol.
Indeed. And what if the evidence showed that you were born last Thursday?
Guess we will never know. 🙂
But it's not that difficult to figure it out. I've done the analysis and this is what I found. Compare similar accounts presented in the Gospels of Mark and Matthew and you will find that Matthew's author copied from Mark. Many scholars happen to believe this too--they don't use the word "copy" but it is a fact. Compare the two accounts from Mark and Matthew regarding Jesus assigning Peter to lead the Church and you will find that the account in Mark is the original. The section about Peter being assigned has been added. The same goes for Peter walking on water. It was copied from Mark and Peter walking on water was added.

Do you accept Sola Scriptura?
The Bible very clearly defines the word of God and I follow that full-heartedly. The Bible also contains the inerrant inspired and complete word of God without error. But consider the issue I brought up about Matthew 16:18-19 and Peter walking on water in the Matthew account. A forensic analysis of that documentation proves that Matthew's author copied those accounts from Mark's author then the account in Matthew was edited. This is what my five-year analysis and fraud investigation of Jesus has found. Can the Bible be fully without error then? There are numerous other contradictions and errors but when separated out, the story of Jesus becomes rock solid.

I've brought up details that can end the Protestant/Catholic debate with the undisputable truth. FYI, with the Holy Spirit's help I've also solved the "seventy sevens" of Daniel 9:24-27 and the the math puzzle of prophecy. You have a decision to make--are you going to kick me off--an expert analyst and former Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) Manager of Fraud Investigations, or are you interested in digging in deep and understanding the truth? The truth is really cool because without theology, Jesus is proven to be the Messiah and God per the requirements God provided us in the Law.

The truth is really cool because without theology, Jesus is proven to be the Messiah and God per the requirements God provided us in the Law.
That Jesus is the Messiah is theology. You confuse "proof" with evidence. We have plenty of evidence within the Bible itself. The apostles themselves, all had to be witnesses of the resurrected Christ. They based all their writings and teaching on interpretation of the Law and the Prophets. (The OT.) Nevertheless, all the evidence and knowledge in the world will not convince the natural man of who Jesus is and what he did, unless he is born again of the Spirit. (John 3: John 1:12-13; 1 Cor 2:14; John 10: 25-30) It is by grace that we are saved, through faith, and that is a gift of God.

You are welcome to present your arguments.

So you say you believe in Sola scriptura and then spend five years proving that it is not inerrant? And just for the record, most here recognize a logical fallacy when they see one. This continued emphasis on your credentials as the reason we should accept what you say as fact, is an appeal to authority (your own) fallacy. So just present your arguments and support them rather than just say them as you did above. We have no idea what your "analysis and fraud investigation" entailed.

That Jesus is the Messiah is theology. You confuse "proof" with evidence. We have plenty of evidence within the Bible itself.
Yes Jesus as the Messiah is theology--unless evidence proves it. Then it becomes factual. God provided specific requirements to prove a matter and Jesus is the matter being proven (Deuteronomy 17:6 and 19:15).
God is a God of miracles and evidence. Do you think God would give us the requirements through the Law, then send Jesus and not fulfill the Law? God ensured that there would be two or three eyewitnesses to validate and verify Jesus. The apostles were not witnesses but the disciples were. The apostles cannot prove Jesus according to God's Law.
You are welcome to present your arguments.

So you say you believe in Sola scriptura and then spend five years proving that it is not inerrant? And just for the record, most here recognize a logical fallacy when they see one. I mentioned my credentials twice. LANL is internationally recognized as one of the premier R&D facilities in the world. People in the religion business love to tout their letters after their name, but in my business letters after the name are worthless--it's results that matter.
So just present your arguments and support them rather than just say them as you did above. We have no idea what your "analysis and fraud investigation" entailed.
Jesus very clearly told us who we could trust to speak the word of God:

“For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God gives the Spirit without measure.” (John 3:34)

“For I spoke not from myself, but the Father who sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. I know that his commandment is eternal life. The things I speak, even as the Father has said to me, so I speak.” (John 12:49-50)

“He who doesn’t love me doesn’t keep my words. The word which you hear isn’t mine, but the Father’s who sent me.” (John 14:24)

Jesus stated we can trust his words as the word of God. The first and primary source of the word of God in the Bible is Jesus himself. Jesus claimed that God sent him to the world and gave him the words that he spoke. Very clearly Jesus stated that his words came from God whom he referred to as his Father.

But then Jesus went past claiming that God was his Father, he told the world that he and God were equals:

“I and the Father are one.” (John 10:30)

Jesus stated that his words came from God because he IS God. Jesus also described his words as having power that could only come from God:

“Most certainly I tell you, he who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and doesn’t come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.” (John 5:24)

“Most certainly, I tell you, if a person keeps my word, he will never see death.” (John 8:51)

Only God can judge the dead and promise eternal life and Jesus stated that those who hear his words and follow them will not be judged and they “will never see death.” With this as a starting point, there is no doubt that the words of Jesus are stated in the Gospels to be the word of God.

Jesus also validated the words of Moses as the word of God. Jesus healed a leper then said to him:

“See that you say nothing to anybody, but go show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing the things which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.” (Mark 1:44)

Jesus told the healed leper to testify to the religious leaders in accordance with Moses’ commands. Jesus, as God, healed a man then commanded him to follow the Law of Moses indicating that the Law of Moses came from God. Jesus also referenced miracles documented by Moses to validate that God was with Moses:

“But about the dead, that they are raised, haven’t you read in the book of Moses about the bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?” (Mark 12:26)

Jesus referred to the “scriptures” (Mark 12:24) then connected God’s gift of eternal life and miracles to the “book of Moses.” God’s appearance to Moses in the burning bush was Moses introduction to God—the first miracle in his life that he recorded. There were many more recorded after this.

We also find that Jesus used words from the “book of Moses” to prove himself to be God:

God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM,” and he said, “You shall tell the children of Israel this: I AM has sent me to you.” (Exodus 3:14 –WEB)

Jesus said to them, “Most certainly, I tell you, before Abraham came into existence, I AM.” (John 8:58)

Moses wrote that in that burning bush God described himself as “I AM.” Jesus used this reference to claim that he was the same as the God who spoke to Moses. There can be no doubt that the evidence proves Jesus endorsed the words of Moses to be the word of God.

Several verses in the book of Moses—the first five books in the Bible that are also referred to as the “Law,” “Hebrew Torah,” or “Pentateuch,” are interpreted to predict a future Messiah. The most referenced prophecy verses include Genesis 3:15, 22:18, 49:10, Numbers 24:17, and the following:

18 I will raise them up a prophet from among their brothers, like you. I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him. 19 It shall happen, that whoever will not listen to my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. (Deuteronomy 18:18-19)

Moses did not mention Jesus by name, but Moses prophesied a specific future prophet who will come and speak for God. This prophet who is referred to as a Messiah will have authority over men and women because God WILL REQUIRE the words of the Messiah to be listened to—the Messiah will be a ruler. God will require ALL to listen to the Messiah even if they don’t want to listen—in other words there will be a penalty for those who reject the Messiah.

Not only did Moses prophecy the future Messiah, but many other OT prophets did too. For example, some of them include the following:
  • Isaiah 7:14 – from the house of David, “the virgin will conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel” (Matthew 1:18-23)
  • Micah 5:2 – “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, being small among the clans of Judah, out of you one will come out to me that is to be the ruler in Israel” (Matthew 2:1)
  • Zechariah 12:10 – “I will pour on David’s house, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication, and they will look to me, whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and will grieve bitterly for him, as one grieves for his firstborn.” (John 19:34-37)
  • Hosea 11:1 – “When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.” (Matthew 2:13-15)
  • Psalm 22:18 – “They divide my garments among them. They cast lost for my clothing.” (John 19:23-24)
  • Malachi 3:1 – “Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me; and the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, behold, he comes!” says Yahweh of Armies. (Matthew 11:4-10)
This list is not all-inclusive because there are other OT prophets who also prophesied the Messiah.
