Reader.....Notice the ONE and ONLY condition to receive this Power from God that IS the "power to BECOME a Son of God".

The condition is..."received Him".

And How do you receive Jesus?
You receive Him by Faith, and God accepts your faith the instant you give it to Him.
Result: God gives you "the righteousness of God in Christ", and the New Birth is caused by the Holy Spirit. = Born again.

End Result? Redeemed. Saved. Having Eternal life. You become a "new creation in Christ".. You have literally, SPIRITUALLY been restored to the exact spiritual state that Adam had before He fell.
THAT is the power of "The righteousness of God" imputed by the Holy Spirit...., as HE causes this, and moreso, you become "the righteousness of God in Christ".
See, to exist in Christ, you have to become "one with God", and that has happened by being born again.

Saint...... Go{d could not live in you... You could not be "the temple of the Holy Spirit", unless God has recreated you to become something SPIRITUALLY, that He can INDWELL.
See it?
Now....Who is Him that you Receive in John 1:12?
Him: is JESUS......This is faith in Christ = is how you receive Him., and become "IN CHRIST", is how you spiritually abide "In Him".
And when you do this, its because God has given you HIS power to become a Son of God, which is why you are 'In Christ".
Now, to be born again, is the Spiritual BIRTH, that happens instantly, that the Holy Spirit causes.

But what is the actual Word-POWER that brings the manifestation? ?

ITs this.....> Romans 1:16.

Notice reader.....that this power of God is producing something when it is applied to you through your faith.
It produces.... "unto Salvation"
Faith in the Gospel, activates The Holy Spirit's power of "quickening".
This means, you are taken from darkness to Light, and from Hell to Heaven... From lost to Saved.. From sinner to Redeemed Saint.
You are eternally changed from, spiritually separated from God to "ONE with God"...Spiritually.... which IS the Holy Spirit's power in redemption, and in this is your Salvation found as you being born again, and your eternal life is now found. "in Christ"

Here is Light.
Jesus is Eternal Life., and Jesus in you is your eternal life.
You are spiritually joined to Jesus, and this joins you to eternal life., when you are Born again.
When someone asks you...>"Do you have eternal life"....You say..>"yes, i have Jesus in me, who is Eternal life, Himself"..... as Jesus said, """I came to give you LIFE, and that more abundantly. And Jesus said..""I am the Resurrection and the LIFE"..
See that LIFE?
You have that Life IN YOU...."Christ IN YOU< the hope of Glory">..., if you are born again.....and that LIFE is everlasting... never-ending.
This is why Paul teaches you that he "preaches the CROSS".....as the Word POWER regarding the Transformation into that Christ LIFE,.
Being (born again) proves you have become a Son/Daughter of God, because you become spiritually transformed, and are now "in Christ".
And all this is ours BASED ON "the finished work of Christ on the Cross".
Jesus : Is Salvation.
When Jesus from the Cross said...>"it is finished"..>He was telling you that Redemption, Eternal Life, Salvation, as GOD's GRACE, has been completed for you 2000 yrs ago.
And God says...>>Now give me your faith in My Redeemer, My SON..... and i'll give you His redemption and His Salvation to you, as "THE GIFT of Salvation", and "The GIFT of Righteousness".

Have you believed ?

2 Corinthians 6:2

This is why Jesus tells you in John 14:6 that He is THE WAY to God.
He is explaining the LITERAL CROSS of CHRIST that is "the power of God, unto Salvation".

Not Water.
Not commandments
Not deeds, self effort, or "trying to be like Christ".
Only the Cross and Christ the Redeemer has God provided as "the Power of God UNTO Salvation" = for as many as BELIEVE ... "The Gospel of the Grace of God".
Give God your Faith in Christ once, and have your Salvation Day.. as God will produce in you that day, that second, the power to become a "new Creation" "in Christ"..."one with God"..... Born Again.

Sure; people have the Power to become Sons of God through Belief in the Gospel of Jesus Christ; Sola Fide!

We're Justified through Faith Alone, and Justification alone makes us an ADOPTED child of God. Adoption alone makes us a child of God, and Faith Alone powers this; because Faith leads to Justification and Adoption. We become a child of God LEGALLY, and that's the power for our relationship with God...

So it is a Category Mistake to Conflate the Power of God to become a child of God, with the Power of God to be Saved; the Gospel is the Power of God unto Salvation/Justification, not Faith. It's a Category Mistake to Conflate the Power of God to Regenerate, with the Power of God to become a Child of God; Regeneration alone doesn't make people a Child of God. Regeneration imparts LIFE, not Adoption; Faith imparts Adoption...

These will be found talking about "losing salvation" and "the elect", and "keeping commandments to stay saved".. and 'water baptism" is required to be SAVED.

In other words, they have lost faith in Christ and have become a "self saver" .. as that is the belief system of everyone who is "fallen from Grace", and no longer believes that ": "Jesus who saved you, keeps you saved.."

Forums are filled with these people.
Pulpits are filled with these people.
Harmful, heretical commentaries are written by thousands of these deceived "broken faith", people.

When you talk to these people, they sound like this.....

A.) "Yes, i know that Jesus saved me.... but.....but........>BUT.... now i have to do this, and do that, and keep this, and keep that, and be sure not to do that, and that... and if i do all this that is on my SELF SAVING- SELF Righteousness LIST...., then i believe i keep myself saved".

These same people will say... "as long as i hold unto my faith, i stay saved"..

So, that one, is actually saying that "faith is the savior" so, """ i'll believe in Faith to get me to heaven." is their lack of real faith in Christ.

What you tell that one with broken faith, is....

A.) Unless FAITH died for your sin on the Cross, then Faith is not the Savior.

GOD is the Savior, and He saves us THROUGH our Faith, exactly ONE TIME>

I would say Salvation is our Justification. Sure, there are a lot of things we can include as a part of Salvation; but the Protestant tradition is that we're Saved through Faith Alone. We are Saved, from Faith to Faith...

But that aside, let's talk about our Adoption. Isn't it true that if someone is Born Again without being Adopted into the family of God; they are not a child of God? I suspect you will say Regeneration always accompanies Adoption, or that Regeneration is Adoption; but that's not what I'm asking. Adoption and Regeneration are spelled differently, and have different Meanings; they're not the same. So Isn't it true that when you’re Adopted, this is when you became a child of God?
