End time

Says nowhere
10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I will also keep you from the hour of testing that is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

What is the abomination of desolation according to your understanding?
The abomination of desolation will be when the anti-christ sits in the rebuilt temple and declares himself to be God.

Random??

I could ask the same of you. Why?
Yes, you could ask the same of me...But, I asked you why. Instead you refuse to answer and tried to turn the question around.

So, why are you're responses so random.

So random? Suspiciously out of whose or what place? Your interpretation?

You often post verses that seem to have nothing to do with the post...while providing no commentary.

This is the last I will say about that.

Well, the dead rise first...at the second time the Mt. of Olives east of Jerusalem splits. That's one thing.
I understand getting tired of posting or just not feeling like dealing with it at the moment. But you didn't give me much to go on there. :)

Let me backtrack a minute. When does He come the first second time and what happens then? Giving Scripture support along with your personal interpretation of the scriptures, and support for that, would be helpful.

Thanks.

There will never be a rebuilt temple. The abomination that God will make desolate sits on almost every street corner throughout America, in every small town~from the Vatican, to every headquarters of all false cults, to the church in the middle of nowhere who rejects, and hates sound biblical truths~from unconditional salvation, particular redemption secured by Christ alone; to a host of other precious truths, etc.

False prophets (antichrist spirit) sit and stand every week declaring themselves to be God by perverting truths, and put folks out who disagree with them, or make it so hard on them that they leave on their own. They stand and declare that God placed them there and you either must submit, or leave, either or, and that their word is final, and not to be questioned~after all, who are you, I'm God's mouthpiece, speaking on the behalf of him.

What do you think they're doing now? The have the temple furniture...clothing...red heifers...corner stone...priestly training

1st.....1 Thes 4:17 After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.

2nd....Rev 19:11 Then I saw heaven standing open, and there before me was a white horse. And its rider is called Faithful and True. With righteousness He judges and wages war. 15 And from His mouth proceeds a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and He will rule them with an iron scepter---------->Zech 14:3 Then the LORD will go out to fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle. 4 On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two

They have it all for nothing then.

I'm sure the Muslims are signing the temple over as we speak.
No, not yet. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out in history....then again it may happen after the pe-trib rapture.

Pre trib rapture?
Ha, seems it’s very late.

1st.....1 Thes 4:17 After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.
After what? Let's look and see.

13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. 14 For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. 15 For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord,[d] that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

Jesus brings with Him the resurrected, therefore with glorified bodies, the dead in Christ. So those who remain alive at this coming of Christ also are caught up to be with Him. We see in 1 Cor 15:22-24 we have For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive, But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ shall be made alive. Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and power.

51-54 Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye. at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall all be changed.

So we have Jesus returning in 1 Thess and in 1 Cor correlating with the resurrection of the dead in Christ and those that are still alive, being changed . They are no longer mortal and perishable but immortal and imperishable. IOW they now have their glorified bodies.

Take note of the trumpet that is blown at His return and the resurrection of the dead and the glorification of the saints. Does it make you think of the trumpets we read of in Revelation.

Let's go there and see what happens when the seventh trumpet is blown.

Rev 11
15 The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said:
“The kingdom of the world has become
the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah,
and he will reign for ever and ever.”
16 And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, 17 saying:
“We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty,
the One who is and who was,
because you have taken your great power
and have begun to reign.
18 The nations were angry,
and your wrath has come.
The time has come for judging the dead,
and for rewarding your servants the prophets
and your people who revere your name,
both great and small—
and for destroying those who destroy the earth.”
19 Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant. And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake and a severe hailstorm.

4 On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two
Rev 19 and 20 are not a chronological order and I will show you why they aren't and why none of the visions are written as a chronological order.

Revelation and much of OT prophecy is known as apocalyptic literature. In historical narrative we start at the beginning and read straight through. It is chronological.

In apocalyptic prophecy this is not the case. Revelation is a series of visions shown from different angles or perspectives. It is not necessarily a chronological series of visions. So what we have, if we are careful to take note and set aside our presuppositions, is what is called recapitulation. (To give a new form of expression to what has already been stated in a different way. Hence, seen from different angles or perspectives.)

Here is an example of it courtesy of Kim Riddlebarger A Case for Amillennialsim: Understand the End Times

Rev 12:7-11
1.Heavenly scene v.7
Rev 20:1-6
Heavenly scene (v. 1)

Angelic battle against Satan and his host (Rev 12:7-8)
Rev 20
Presupposed angelic battle with Satan (v. 2)

Satan cast to earth (Rev 12:9)
Rev 20:3
Satan cast into the abyss

Rev 12:9
The angels' evil opponent called the dragon,...that old serpent called "the devil or Satan, who leads the whole world astray
Rev 20:2-3
the angel's evil opponent called the dragon, that ancient serpent who is the devil, or Satan" restrained ffrom "deceiving the nations anymore"
(vv 3, 7-9) to be released later "to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth"

Rev 12:12
Satan "is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short"
Rev 20:3
Satan to "be set free for a short time" after his imprisonment

Rev 12:10
Satan's fall resulting in the kingdom of Christ and his saints
Rev 20:4
Satan's fall resulting in the kingdom of Christ and his saints.

Rev 12:11
The saints kingship based not only on the fall of Satan and Christ's victory but also on the saints faithfulness even to death in holding to "the word of their testimony"
Rev 20:4
The saints kingship based not only on the fall of Satan and Christ's victory but also on their faithfulness even unto death because of their "testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God"

This is to show you that Rev is not chronological but recapitulates from different angles of view. If you would like to go over the recapitulation in Rev 19 and 20, we can do that. But the sum total of the matter as to the second coming of Christ (and there are only two) is that when Jesus returns it is in victory, the death of death. The resurrection and glorification and judgment all happen at the same time.

10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I will also keep you from the hour of testing that is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
Rev 3:10 Does not say what you said. Which was, "The christians will be removed in the rapture prior to the abomination of desolation....."

Keep and remove are two different things. Sorry no rapture, just a preservation, guarding, keeping from.

Let's not add what is NOT.

And remember we are Matt 24, where It says plainly that the days of this great tribulation are shortened for the ELECTS sake. And If it were not so then no flesh would be saved through it says verse 22.

Then to add to this, we see that during this tribulation that is shortened, many false christs and prophets shall arise and show great signs and wonders. And if it WERE possible they would deceive the very ELECT in verse 24.

As we move forward we see in verse 29 that once this period of tribulation is over the sun will be darkened and the moon shall not give her light. The stars shall fall from heaven and the powers of the heavens shaken. And then the Son of Man shall appear with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his ELECT from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Matt 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
Matt 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Matt 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Matt 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
Matt 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Matt 24:25 Behold, I have told you before.
Matt 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
Matt 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Matt 24:28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
Matt 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Matt 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Matt 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
