Digital currency will mean control and you can be sure that what they do with it will not be with the individual...

Clearly CBDC can and will be used to control buying and selling to some degree…it already is…anyone who has looked into this at almost any level understands this…that is a primary driving factor behind the seeming rush to bring it forth. There should only be agreement among us here on that fact.

Does this mean it is the mark of the beast as referred to in Revelation 13 from Hobie’s OP? No…not at all…however it (DC/CBDC) is a part of the “beast system” which is seeking to subdue the entire earth via the control of the earth’s economy (buy & sell). That “beast system” is looking to gain full control of everything that is required for human life on this earth.

It is once again…”Egyptian economic slavery” this time on a global scale…and everyone in “this Egypt is marked” because simply “being in Egypt is the mark.” The multitudes of earth dwellers will surrender to their fear…and trust in their slavery for their survival…sound familiar?

There will be a “few”…though they too are “marked” that will be in control…who are slaves themselves. All…the rest of the “citizens of Egypt” are by default slaves…as “marked”…by choosing to live in slavery/Egypt...lust of the flesh.

They only do as allowed...by the slave masters…that is what is meant by…”buy or sell”…they are in the beast system as slaves…the “mark” is their citizenry and participation in the kingdom of the beast…hello?

The only way to “buy & sell” in the beast system…is…to be a citizen of “modern Egypt”…by being dependent upon its “alleged” provision and protection for you. Most will think they are free…just as it is today.

The mark of the beast “only” pertains to doing business in the "beast’s economy."

What about buying and selling outside of Egypt?

We know that Jesus was speaking to His 12 disciples, (teach YOU all things) that when the Holy Spirit came, He would guide and teach them AND the whole Body of Christ down through the centuries and across the world.

Does the Holy Spirit ever direct one believer to know one position and another believer to know the exact opposite position?

The Holy Spirit never teaches anything in opposition to the written word. In the case of Revelation 13"16-17's "mark," the written word provides information the Holy Spirit cannot, does not, and will not contradict. Claims made in conflict with the written word is one of the ways we can tell when a modern prognosticator's views are full of dross (or not). Appeals to the Holy Spirit providing special revelation contradicting what is plainly stated in the written word is another.

Even though scripture itself tells us the same...it will always somehow escape the Pharisee...

The only other advantage to business that I know of is the Amazon method: you can't enter the store without one, and you get charged all at once upon departure--to save labor and theft.

One thing that is silly about the government trying to track everything is that any locality or community can start trading goods and services and if an IOU slip is needed when amounts don't match perfectly, they just write their own!

True and yet...there is so much more to the "beast"...this beast is "growing"...by increasingly gaining control over everything that human life depends upon.

It won't take too much longer and that is where the world will be at.
