Calving was a faithful minister pertaining to godly living. He was a lousy teacher of predestination.

Foreknowing is not foredetermining.

God foreknows all things, because He sees all things from the beginning.

It's not because He makes all things happen one way or the other, before they even happen.

God does not conform the will of anyone by brute force. Otherwise, no angel nor man would ever sin.

Correct.

Foredetermining is necessarily foreknowing
God foreknows all things, because He sees all things from the beginning.
God foreknows all things because he has decreed all things.
It's not because He makes all things happen one way or the other, before they even happen.

He doesn't have to do it by brute force.

Free will is simply the power to choose what one prefers.
However, the human will is governed by the disposition. It chooses what the disposition prefers.
God simply works in the disposition, giving one to prefer his will, and then one freely chooses what he prefers; i.e., God's will.

God doesn't accomplish his purposes by violating one's free will; i.e., what one prefers to choose.
He accomplishes his purposes by working within the disposition giving us to prefer his will, which we freely and willingly choose; i.e., free will.

I don't have to say much since Elenor did a great job, as usual.

I agree. I would only change one thing. The spelling of his name. Calvin
He was a lousy teacher of predestination.
Who's teaching on predestination do you agree with? Do you mind sharing?

God predetermines but it is not by foreknowledge!
