Brian Doersksen has historical ties to the charismatic Vineyard movement and is currently associated with the Mennonite Brethren denomination, specifically in Abbotsford, British Columbia. But there is no escaping the monergistic resonance the following lyrics have with Reformed theology:
You are the thirst, you are the stream
You are the hunger living deep inside of me
You are the food that satisfies
You are provision for the journey of our lives
You are everything
You are
These lyrics talk about God being both the thirst and the stream, the hunger and the food. That resonates strongly with the Reformed view of God initiating and fulfilling human need, highlighting human dependence and God's provision. As Augustine said, "Our hearts are restless until they find rest in thee."

Speaking as Reformed and a once Charismatic which is also a proponent of "choosing to believe" as the kingpin of ones salvation: This is what gets me. They acknowledge and truly believe the things we find in those words concerning God; then abandon them (though not intentionally or even with awareness of it) in their doctrine of "choice" (and other places.) They love God, and honor him, and yet underneath it somehow becomes man centered worship. And saying this to those still caught in that trap, is futile because "We don't know, what we don't know."
