Attending Church

"New Name written down in Glory" is one we (me and other grass musicians so inclined) do in Bluegrass jams, but the original version. Here in Dallas, I've observed that the majority of local Bluegrass pickers are Christians.

Folks sometimes ask me If I'm a "professional musician", and I always tell 'em: "OF COURSE!!! - I've made $50 this year already playing banjo!!"
Luv it brother. :)

It's a good a word as any. YOU USED IT, what did YOU mean by it???
When a discussion goes from Church attendance to concerts, the topic morphs (changes). When it goes from concerts to 'morphing' it morphs again lol. I guess there are no rules against derailing here?

CHuckle!!! This is a public message board. Threads almost NEVER stay straight.

Do you attend church on Sundays? Or do you watch it on tv or come on a forum instead?
Carbon, that sounds very legalistic. It has an emotional control about it where if you (we) don`t `go to a public meeting organized by a religious organization` then you aren`t a `good` Christian.

I never said such a thing. Sorry you feel that way, it is a forum and things can be taken wrong.

I may listen to some classes given 20 years ago.
With the exception of certain current events covered, they could have been given yesterday.
Totally applicable to life today. Some messages were predicting exactly where we have come to.

The Word of God is eternal and timeless.

You can try listening online to some of these messages to see if they feel at home with you.
Some of vocabulary used by the pastor was developed in class, and you may have to simply pass such things over for now.

Give it a shot. See what you think.

Thank you so much GeneZ for that link. I have listened to the `Conflict of powers,` and really appreciate the truth spoken. I am looking forward to listening to more of this man`s teaching by the Holy Spirit.

Just realized there are over 30 messages on that page...
Never seen that many offered at once.

No charge. No money will be asked for.

Here is the official Ministry policy...

R. B. Thieme, Jr., Bible Ministries is a grace ministry and operates entirely on voluntary contributions.
There is no price list for any of our material. No money is requested. When gratitude for the Word
of God motivates a believer to give, he has the privilege of contributing to the dissemination of
Bible doctrine.

Years ago, I was quite involved in my church. But they folded and I got ill, so I don't go much anymore. I sometimes to the Nazarene church down the road if I'm up to it. Someone has volunteered to give me a lift since walking a mile has become too much for me. It's okay to watch something online, but there's nothing like corporate worship!
