The article of Faith is the doctrine upon which the church stands or falls. For instance Luther & Calvin called Justification the chief article of faith upon which the church stands or falls. Calvin said it is the linchpin upon which religion turns. This was the main cause of the Reformation; the imputed righteousness of Christ. As far as I known there is only one article of faith, I could be mistaken. But if my memory serves me well, it's Justification by Faith Alone!​

An article of faith is a truth or doctrine reveled by Christ and taught by holy mother church and are required for salvation!

Twelve articles of the apostles creed:

(1st)
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth;

(2nd)
And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord;

(3rd)
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
Born of the Virgin Mary,

(4th)
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, died, and was buried.

He descended into hell;
The third day he rose again from the dead;

(6th)
He ascended into Heaven,
And is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty;

From thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead.

The Communion of Saints,

(10th)
The forgiveness of sins,
