What type of music should be sung in church?

The Bible instructs us to "be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart," Ephesians 5:18-19
Any type of music is fine to praise the Lord. The lyrics of course need to be theologically accurate.

I love the hymns, so full of theology. Contemporary songs are so watered down by comparison. There are some good ones though.

I'm white so no. 😅
My wife and I sang in the choir. We did a lot of solos as well. People don't realize what is happening in the soud booth above the crowd. One Christmas Production, I am center stage, singing to the train (spotlight) I can clearly see the Pastor trying to get the choir behind me to use paddles in unison (sway) suddenly he holds his hands up and throws the paddles down behind the counter ......I could only imagine what that group of white folks were doing back behind me ......We needed a black choir behind me that night ....
