I agree; it's definitely no excuse for committing a crime.We may never know the whole truth.
Possibly so.
But I think of that along the lines of "the video game made me do it", and I don't accept that as an excuse to commit a crime.
Apparently this kid that everyone said was "smart" didn't have the smarts to know that what he was doing was wrong.
And innocent people were hurt and killed for him being such a dumbass.
Yes, that's very important.That's why I keep wondering about what the actual protocol was.
If the protocol were only to shoot if a gunman shot first, then that's equivalent to responding to an assassination, rather than preventing one. If that really is their protocol, then it needs to be changed urgently.If SS was told not to shoot unless he fired first then the SS would have been in trouble for disobeying protocol and could have ended up in jail himself, and the Left would have been all over that trying to persecute him to the hilt.
Makes it hard for the SS to do what they feel is best when you have sworn to obey someone that isn't even there.
