But I think of that along the lines of "the video game made me do it", and I don't accept that as an excuse to commit a crime.
Apparently this kid that everyone said was "smart" didn't have the smarts to know that what he was doing was wrong.
And innocent people were hurt and killed for him being such a dumbass.

I agree; it's definitely no excuse for committing a crime.

That's why I keep wondering about what the actual protocol was.

Yes, that's very important.

If SS was told not to shoot unless he fired first then the SS would have been in trouble for disobeying protocol and could have ended up in jail himself, and the Left would have been all over that trying to persecute him to the hilt.

Makes it hard for the SS to do what they feel is best when you have sworn to obey someone that isn't even there.

If the protocol were only to shoot if a gunman shot first, then that's equivalent to responding to an assassination, rather than preventing one. If that really is their protocol, then it needs to be changed urgently.

To add another conspiracy to the mix ..........

Questions have been asked by internet youtubers about the parents and whether they had any suspicions that their son might target Trump.
And I saw one youtuber say it should be checked on to see if the parents had recently purchased a life insurance policy on their son.
(Keep in mind this is all speculation and no proof of any of this was offered.)

That theory gives me shivers.

Yeah, all the reports make it real easy to suspect conspiracy.
Everyone involved will want to paint themselves in the best light possible, plus pass the buck of blame, plus keep their pie-hole shut.
But what they can't hide is that it was a catastrophe.

I'm so thankful Trump survived, and am so sorrowful for those who were killed and injured all because of that deranged young'un.
