The Valley of Achor as a door of Hope.
Hos. 2:14 (NAS20S) “Therefore, behold, I am going to persuade her, Bring her into the wilderness, And speak kindly to her.
15 “Then I will give her her vineyards from there, And the Valley of Achor as a door of hope. And she will respond there as in the days of her youth, As in the day when she went up from the land of Egypt.
16 “And it will come about on that day,” declares the LORD, “That you will call Me my husband And no longer call Me my Baal.
I see Christ and His work throughout scripture and here we see that God is promising that a place of trouble and no hope is made to be a door of Hope.
How can a place of trouble and no hope be given as a door of hope.
If you read Joshua chapter 7, you see the story of a guy named Achan who sinned and brought sin upon Israel and all Israel judged him and all that was his and the Lord turned from the fierceness of His anger.
Christ took upon Himself that fierce anger and judgement and became that Door of Hope.
Where we had no hope of anything but sin and judgement, God stepped in to save us and give us Hope.
Eph. 1:18 (NAS20S) I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
Col. 1:27 (NAS20S) to whom God willed to make known what the wealth of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles is, the mystery that is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
