The Eternal Purpose of Creation !

The sin of man in Adam was necessary to bring to pass Gods eternal purpose in Christ wherein He would be most Glorified ! 20

Adams sin was purposed by God otherwise Adam would not have known sin. Similar to what Paul testifies to here Rom 7:7-8

7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.

Now Adam before his sin was innocent, however he was sinful by nature, meaning even in innocent flesh, he wasnt able to keep Gods Holy Law and all of its purity. Rom 7:12

12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

When God gave Adam His Law Gen 2:17-18

6 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

It was in view to expose, make evident Adams sinnership, weakness of the flesh to keep Gods Law Rom 8:3-4

3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Hence by this Adam was made ripe to have revealed to him the Saviour of Gods People, Seed of Women Gen 3 who had been ordained before the world began 1 Pet 1:20

20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

The fall of Adam was essential to the revelation of Gospel grace in the face of Jesus Christ, The fall was predestinated, for Christ was predestinated as Saviour/Redeemer 1 Pet 1:18-20

18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

The word foreordained here means
  1. to predestinate

The fall of man in Adam made way for the eternal covenant of salvation. All things were made for, as well as by Jesus Christ

The sin of Adam was a consequence of Gods Eternal Purpose [of Salvation] He purposed in Jesus Christ Eph 3:0-11

9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

All things were created for and by Jesus Christ, including Adam and the Fall in him Col 3:16

16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Adam's sin which brought in the curse did not change or adjust God's one purpose with His own creation. More properly, sin serves God's eternal purpose in Christ Eph 3:11, for it is owing to sin and redemption that God willed to raise His earthly creation to heavenly grandeur and blessedness. Matt 25:34

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

It was always designed and purposed to be a heavenly kingdom 2 Tim 4:18

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

That was the hope of True Israel Acts 28:20

For this cause therefore have I called for you, to see you, and to speak with you: because that for the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.20

God had a Eternal Purpose grounded in Christ,

Sin and death entrance into the world Rom 5:12 was subservient to Gods Eternal Purpose in Christ. It was ordained by Gods infinite wisdom by which He established the foundations of the world and ages Ps 136:5

To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Prov 3:19

The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.

The word founded yāsaḏ:

to found, fix, establish, lay foundation,
    1. to establish, appoint, ordain
  1. (Pual) to be founded, be laid
to set (literally or figuratively); intensively, to found; reflexively, to sit down together, i.e. settle, consult:—appoint, take counsel,

Jer 10:12

He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.

Eph 3:10

To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

Christ being setup Surety in the everlasting Covenant of Grace proves that moral evil was purposed and planned prior to the foundation of the world. 21

The Suretyship of Christ was , the prearrangement made to deliver the guilty fallen elect subjects from the consequences of moral evil/sin Christ could not have been set up from everlasting, and appointed[Saviour] to appear in the fullness of time, to purge away sin by the sacrifice of himself, had not the being of sin then been fixed and determined by God ! This determination of sin, moral evil would be for the Manifesting of the Glory of God. Prov 16:4

4 The Lord hath made all things for himself[His Glory]: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

Sin could not have had being into Gods World, opposite to His Divine will and purpose, it’s being must be a effect of the sovereign purpose of God ! 21

For if God had not determined its[sin] existence, it could not have had being; unless we deem sin to be greater than God. Sin was merely according to a much Greater Purpose centered in the redemptive purpose in Christ Jesus for Gods Elect ! Eph 3

The Redemption Christ obtained for His People is Eternal Heb 9:12

12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

Time as we know it is swallowed up in eternity. This redemption acquired by Christ was in the eternal mind and purpose of God before one grain of sand was created, even before the foundation of the world. Notice what Peter wrote about the precious redeeming blood of the Lamb 1 Pet 1:18-20

18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

This world wasn't created without the thoughts of the coming redeemer of Gods People, this purpose was set in stone from everlasting Micah 5:2

But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Prov 8:23

I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was

Isa 63:16

Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O Lord, art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.

Charles Spurgeon wrote in a sermon of his:
The eternal councils of God have ever had an eye to the everlasting righteousness and to the everlasting redemption of the everlasting Son of the Father. Redemption is no new thought with God—no expedient to snatch the world from an unexpected accident—no patching up of a broken-down purpose.

This earth was created for a redemptive purpose centered in the Lamb slain from the foundation ! f
