The Covenant of Grace.

I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,
Psalm 89:3.

And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 1 Corinthians 15:45

The first covenant was made without a priest because then there was no sin to take away; the parties therein represented, as well as the representative, were considered as innocent persons.

But the second covenant was a covenant of peace and reconciliation between an offended God and sinners, not to be made but by the mediation of a priest, who should be able to remove sin and repair the injured honor of God: Even he shall build the temple of the Lord; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both. Zech 6:13.

And there was none fit to bear that character but Christ himself. No man was fit to bear it; because all men were sinners themselves, and such a high priest became us, as of undefiled, separated from sinners: For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; Heb 7:26.

The covenant of grace which could not be made with sinners, was made with Christ, the last Adam, their Head, and representative, mediating between God and man

Christ was in the covenant of grace Israel-representative, according to: And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified. Isaiah 49:3.
Now, Israel, the collective body, is the elect: Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Romans 9:6.
Therefore the elect were the party represented and contracted for in the covenant. So those who Christ took with him into the bbond of the covenant, are described to be the seed of Abraham: For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Heb 2:16.

And there was none fit to bear that character but Christ himself. No man was fit to bear it; ... etc.

Right. John 1:17 says nothing about grace comes from the Father through the Son. It does mention that the new covenant established in grace and that was through Jesus Christ himself (Romans 1:5 "through him we receive grace..."). John compares Moses with Christ to demonstrate two different covenants of law and grace. In the old covenant the law was given to Moses by God. While in the new covenant there is a whole entire system and structure. Which this grace wasn't given to Christ by God like how the law was given to Moses. Rather, he came from the Father, already in or in possession of, FULL OF GRACE. After all, he is that selfsame gracious God and we receive that unlimited grace THROUGH his fullness according to the Divine Nature.

The covenant of grace was made with Christ as the last Adam, head, and representative of his spiritual seed not with man.

Christ was in the covenant of grace Israel- representative, according to: And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified. Isaiah 49:3.

Now Israel, the collective body is the elect: Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Romans 9:6.

So those who Christ took with him into the bond of his covenant, are described to be the seed of Abraham: For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Heb 2:16.

It does not teach that Christ took hold of the seed of Adam, that is, all mankind; but of the seed of Abraham. That is, all the elect, or the spiritual Isreal called the house of Jacob,
And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Luke 1:33.

The covenant of grace was made with Christ as the last Adam, head, and representative of his spiritual seed not with man.
And that's where the Gospel gets started, 2 Tim 1:9-10

8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.

As Important and vital the preaching of the Cross is, the Cross is grounded in that Covenant of Grace, that Eternal Purpose, in Christ Jesus before the world began

The covenant of grace was promised to all men through on man in a covenant given to abraham

In you (that is your seed) shall all the nations be blessed

Even in the OT under law. Grave was the means of salvation the law being the tutor. And grace was just not for Isreal it was still for all nation (Nineveh as prime example)

Grace was promised before time began because Gods plan was already in tone

As Paul said. In the hope
Of eternal life which God who can not lie. promised before time began

As David said sacrifice and burnt offering you did not desire

It’s so sad Israel was decieved by that which could have led them to salvation and instead caused them to reject it

The covenant of grace was promised to all men through on man in a covenant given to abraham

Actually the promise was given to Abrahams Seed which is Christ, and its only for Abrahams Spiritual Seed through Christ which seed includes people of all races,

Gal 3:16,28-29

16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs
according to the promise.

Its only a seed out of mankind Rom 4:16

Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

One cant believe in the covenant of Grace and deny Limited, particular atonement for a seed

actually it was given to all families of the workd

Just read the words. And try not to filter them

In you (your seed) all all the families of the earth be blessed

All means all not some

Abrahams spiritual seed is comprised of all races. The promises are only for a seed, and so yes all in this case means some. All the seed is made of some of all nations.

The promise through Abraham is only sure to ALL THE SEED Rom 4:16

Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all

We have Panti Dative singular ALL qualifying the seed, with the definite article limiting it the particular seed[singular]

You deny it all you like, it just shows you unfortunately at this time are deceived.

The promise is to all. Not some

Yes his seed re the ones who recieved his seed But the promise is to all

What part of all do you fail to grasp?

@Carbon sorry for getting off track and getting mad at someone I have resolved that issue and will not have that problem with him again

Amen. It also applies the seed of David Ps 89:3-4,29

3 I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,

4 Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.

29 His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
