Romans 11:26a.... And so all Israel will be saved.

Then you are saying 2 things at once:

1, I disagree with you
2, you don’t know what I’m saying

These can’t be both true at the same time. We can only disagree when we are sure what the other person is saying.

So: do you see the 1st century RT?

And: is 1st century RT the same as that which began about 1990s?

I do agree there is reason for a modern one, but I think it helps a person to know there was one in the past—in the 1st century. And that that one was derailing truth.

The real push to view modern Israel as a a fulfillment apart from any Christian connection was the renegade novelist G Eliot. In the mid 1800s , her DANIEL DERONDA treated the whole issue without any grasp of NT theology. Even though she translated Strauss’s LIFE OF CHRIST —in an effort to discredit the NT.

We know that the Church is the antitype of old testament israel when we consider a comparison of 1 Pet 2:9 as the fulfillment of Ex 19:5

Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: and Deut 14:2

For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God, and the Lord hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

1 Pet 2:9

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

Now the greek word for peculiar in 1 Pet 2 is the word περιποίησις and means:

  1. a preserving, a preservation
  2. possession, one's own property
  3. an obtaining

Now the word comes from the verb peripoieō which means:

  1. to make to remain over
  2. to reserve, to leave or keep safe, lay by
  3. to make to remain for one's self
  4. to preserve for one's self
  5. to get for one's self, purchase

Which word Paul uses for purchase here Acts 20:28

Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

So the Church of God is that peculiar people of God in 1 Pet 2:9 which fulfills the OT Type israel In Exodus nd Deut. For God only has One Peculiar people and that's through the Blood of Christ. 7
