YES. Always looking right.
I assume you all have heard. I saw no threads on this.

Pope Francis died early this morning. One day after we celebrated the fact that Christ IS risen.

Wonder if there is any significance to that?

I highly doubt that.

He seemed like a genuine guy

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò was a frequent critic of Pope Francis during his reign. Viganò frequently spoke out against the pope’s support for open borders and socialism. My mother who is a devout Roman Catholic said maybe this time they will find a pope that stays out of politics and sticks with Christianity.

Christ rose from the dead; but the one in the office of anti-Christ descended to that other place. It's an extreme contrast.

That’s true
Who is the more dangerous?

1) An unpleasant, aggressive, snarling false teacher

2) An apparently friendly, easy-going, people-person false teacher

Exactly. Great point! I agree, however, if a pope realized he was the antichrist, I think he would probably drop dead of the thought.

There are many false teachers out there, including non-denominational Christian Pastors. The Bible warns us of this and it's not just Catholics. All accounts claim Francis was a champion of the poor, he refused to sleep in the standard Pope quarters or whatever you call them..

I doubt that very much; in fact, I believe that, like the Freemasons, the ones at the very top of the organisation know that they're worshipping Lucifer.

All true; and yet, although there are many anti-Christs, there is only one office of anti-Christ (taking the place of Christ on Earth; sitting in the temple of God (the professing church) and proclaiming himself to be as God; proclaiming that one must acknowledge his primacy to be saved; having world leaders do obeisance to him and kiss his ring; claiming all authority in heaven, on earth and under the earth; claiming that, when he speaks ex-cathedra, his pronouncements are infallible, etc., etc..).

I am not willing, as other to call the Pope the anti-Christ, but I do know there is something wrong when one of them is on record as having said
"It is dangerous to have a personal relationship with Jesus''
(I know we have to go elsewhere to post a video.... but hopw about a link?)

When he said this, I knew there was a problem. General Audience of 25 June 2014 | Francis

3. We are able to live this journey not only because of others, but together with others. In the Church there is no “do it yourself”, there are no “free agents”. How many times did Pope Benedict “describe the Church as an ecclesial ‘we’”! At times one hears someone say: “I believe in God, I believe in Jesus, but I don’t care about the Church...”. How many times have we heard this? And this is not good. There are those who believe they can maintain a personal, direct and immediate relationship with Jesus Christ outside the communion and the mediation of the Church. These are dangerous and harmful temptations.
There it is written what he said to a general audience in Peter’s Square on Wednesday, 25 June 2014.
Pope Warns Against Direct Personal Relationship With Jesus Christ

There have been others, but wont waste your time looking them up

I pray that God puts the perfect person for the position in the position. Not one that seems almost fearful of our Savior.

That's a theory at this point, mankind won't really know for sure until he sprouts up. I read a book claiming the AC will come out of the Vatican, but man doesn't know as much as he thinks he does. All we can do is focus on ourselves in an attempt to be worthy.

The thing about that papal proclamation is that, when he speaks of, "...the communion and mediation of the Church.", he refers to Roman Catholicism exclusively, which means that he declared that it's "dangerous and harmful" to believe that one can "maintain a personal, direct and immediate relationship with Jesus Christ", unless one is in Roman Catholicism!

The anti-Christ (a.k.a. man of sin, a.k.a. son of perdition) sprang up a long time ago. He has been sitting in the temple of God (that expression always means the professing church, in the N.T., unless it specifically refers to the physical temple), proclaiming that he is as God, since the 4th C. A.D..

Who specifically has claimed to be God?

The LDS have their own beliefs that we find ridiculous as well. A relationship with Jesus is the way to go, Religions tend to welcome corruption.
