The born again...understand that the Law and the 10 Commandments are good. They are Holy. They are Pure.

But, because they are Holy, they show us that we are not.... as that is the main purpose of the Law and 10 Commandments.

They are a Spiritual Mirror, a HOLY Mirror that reflect God's Righteousness against us, so that we can SEE OURSELVES, as compared to God.

And that reflection, of US, as compared to GOD........ that is the main purpose of the Law and 10 Commandments, and it is a CURSE to us, as it reveals us as dirty, sinful, fallen, and lost.

The Law and 10 Commandments reveal us as..."ALL HAVE SINNED".

So, now that the Law and Commandments have revealed us as unholy, .. how can we become a part of God's family that is Holy and Righteous?

Simple.. We need God's Righteousness, as ours. We need God's purity as ours., as until we have it, God can't have us, and will not take us.

You can't go to heaven as a sinner with sin, so God has to deal with all your sin, and birth you spiritually as a "NEW Creation" "in Christ'.

See that SIN issue? That is what the LAW and COMMANDMENTS have REVEALED about us, and that is the : "CURSE OF THE LAW".

What is the Solution that deals with and removes that "curse of the Law"...forever ?? ?

A.) God came here as a virgin born man, and died on the Cross for the SIN of the World....., and This shed blood and death of Jesus forgives all our sin forever, and removes the curse of the Law from us..... forever.

This is what Jesus was explaining to you, Reader, when He was Dying on the Cross and said to you...

"It is FINISHED".

What is finished?

1.) The Law has no more power over you to define you as a sinner, ever again.., that "curse" is gone.

2.) God gives you His "GIFT of RIGHTEOUSNESS" so that you have now gained as your own, God's very Righteousness. "Made Righteous".

This is to be "made righteous", as = "The Righteousness of GOD..."in Christ".

All the born again are ..."IN Christ". "Made Righteous" "one with God".

See all that ?

"Christ has redeemed us from the CURSE OF THE LAW", and now the Law can't define us as a sinner, ever again, and that is why the NT defines the born again as a "SAINT"

And the born again have been "made Righteous", having received God's GIFT of RIGHTEOUSNESS"

See that Reader?
If you are born again, you have become that....and that is your : Eternal SALVATION.

You cant earn it... You have to , by faith, RECEIVE what Jesus has accomplished for you on the Cross.

Welcome to : Salvation.

Its a "GIFT" from God through The Cross of Christ.

How do you get this "GIFT"?

"all that believe in Jesus, shall be Saved"
"all that call on the name of Jesus, shall be saved"

Jesus said... "ALL that believe in me....i give unto them Eternal LIFE, and they shall never go to Hell.(perish).
Nowhere does the Bible say that the main purpose of God's law is to show us that we are not holy, nor does it even say that that is even one of its purposes.

God is not an unloving Father who gave his law to curse His children, but rather He knows how to give good gifts to His children that are for our own good in order to bless us (Deuteronomy 6:24, 10:12-13, Psalms 119:1-3). In Deuteronomy 28, it describes the blessing of the law for obeying it and the curse of the law for not obeying it, so being set free from the curse of the law is being set free from the curse of not living in obedience to it so that we can be free to enjoy the blessing of living in obedience to it.

In Titus 2:14, Jesus gave himself to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people of his own possession who are zealous for doing good works, so becoming zealous for doing good works in obedience to God's law is the way to believe in what he finished on the cross (Acts 21:20), while returning to the lawlessness that he gave himself to redeem us from would be the way to reject what he finished on the cross.

The gift of righteousness is the gift of getting to become someone who practices righteousness in accordance with following Christ's example of walking in obedience to God's law, which is why those who are in Christ are obligated to walk in the same way he walked. In 1 John 3:4-10, whoever practices righteousness is righteous even as he is righteous and whoever does not practice righteousness in obedience to God's law is not born again. In Hebrews 5:9, Jesus has become a source of eternal salvation for those who obey him, which has nothing to do with earning it. Jesus said that the way to enter eternal life is by obeying God's commandments (Matthew 19:17, Luke 10:25-28), which is because God's commandments are His instructions for how to believe in Jesus.

No Law : Only Grace

God is gracious to us by teaching us to obey His law (Psalms 119:29-30, Exodus 33:13, Genesis 6:8-9, Romans 1:5, Titus 2:11-14).

The Law and 10 Commandments reveal us as..."ALL HAVE SINNED".
And also, "None is righteous, no, not one!" I also would add that the relationship with God that we once had in the Garden Temple is severed by sin. And God will not lower his standard of holiness to allow us into heaven. The Law requires perfect fulfillment without a shred or blemish of sin. This is why we are in this predicative in the first place. A Covenant was broken and breached with One Act of disobedience.
So, now that the Law and Commandments have revealed us as unholy, .. how can we become a part of God's family that is Holy and Righteous?

Amen! We need to be reconciled to God, we need a mediator, a God-Man that represents both parties.

Again I agree, and will add, For there is no distinction: 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith.

Christ is our propitiation and expiation [Christ becomes a curse for us]; Christ takes our place as a guilty sinner before a Holy Righteous Judge and receives our punishment in our place; the full wrath of God comes down on his head for us. While bearing our sins in his flesh and body. He is the Paschal Lamb, the once and for all final sacrifice. And by Christ's Law keeping and fulfilling the broken Covenant that was broken by the first Adam, we are given a Free-Gift of Righteousness through the One Man's Act of Obedience! This is the positive righteousness we must have (Flawless Righteousness) to enter heaven. Matt. 5:48 You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
What is finished?

1.) The Law has no more power over you to define you as a sinner, ever again.., that "curse" is gone.

Thanks, good job! One last passage. Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith [this is short hand for in Christ and in his merits Alone are we justified before God; being given FREELY the Gift of Grace; namely the Righteousness of Christ; just AMAZING!], we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Isaiah 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his wounds we are healed.

Nowhere does the Bible say that the main purpose of God's law is to show us that we are not holy, nor does it even say that that is even one of its purposes.
Read Romans 1-3, and chapter 7.

Are you sure? Before I start posting.
God's Law, his holy will, is what God commands from us. We were created in his image, to multiply and fill the earth with his glory. For sinners, Law breakers in Adam, the Law only brings knowledge of sin, right? The Law is a ministry of death, and gives no life.
The Law and Sin

7 What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.” 8 But sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of covetousness. For apart from the law, sin lies dead. 9 I was once alive apart from the law, but when the commandment came, sin came alive and I died. 10 The very commandment that promised life proved to be death to me. 11 For sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through it killed me. 12 So the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.

13 Did that which is good, then, bring death to me? By no means! It was sin, producing death in me through what is good, in order that sin might be shown to be sin, and through the commandment might become sinful beyond measure. 14 For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am of the flesh, sold under sin. 15 For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. 16 Now if I do what I do not want, I agree with the law, that it is good. 17 So now it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me. 18 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh. For I have the desire to do what is right, but not the ability to carry it out. 19 For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells within me.

21 So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. 22 For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, 23 but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.

No, the main purpose of the law was to teach us how to know God through experiencing aspects of His nature (Exodus 33:13, Matthew 7:23), such as by teaching us how to experience His holiness, righteousness, and goodness (Romans 7:22), which is eternal life (John 17:3), and by contrast it also reveals the way to know sin (Romans 3:20). In Deuteronomy 30:11-20, it says that God's law is not too difficult to obey and that obedient brings life and a blessing while disobedience brings death and a curse, so choose life! So it is a ministry of life for those who choose to obey it and a ministry of death for those who refuse to obey it.

Soyeong, I hope you know we are addressing ungodly sinners before being saved in Christ through Faith Alone. We do not deny God's Love, Grace and Mercy and all his glorious attributes. But having a lack or non-existed view of the gravity of sin, is a recipe for works-righteousness paradigm that negates the Promises of the Gospel.

The only thing that the ungodly experience or can experience of God's holiness, righteousness, and judgement is terror. The Law doesn't bring peace of conscience to a ungodly sinner, it brings judgement, death and punishment. "The very commandment that promised life proved to be death to me. For sin, seizing an opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through it killed me." (Romans 7)

Law Preaching must come before the Gospel, to expose sinners before a Holy God. Knowing their sinful predicament under the Law to know and understand that righteous judgement hangs over them every minute and every hour. "For while we were living in the flesh, our sinful passions, aroused by the law, were at work in our members to bear fruit for death." (Romans 7)

Ephesians 2:1 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.
Nothing in these verses say that the main purpose of the Law of God is to show us that we are not holy or even that that is one of its purposes, but rather one of its purposes is to teach us how to be holy (Romans 7:12)
As sinners before being saved, what is the Law to us? Does it save us? No, why not? How do sinners know they need a Redeemer? The Law is Holy and Good. But it is not good news for the ungodly, right? Why is that?

Just curious how do you preach the Gospel to people? Shouldn't the Law be preached first to people, so they know why they need a Savior?
