Table: Logical Fallacies and Rhetorical Tactics by brightfame52 (Post #421)

Statement or ActionFallacy or TacticExplanation
“I'm not answering any of your questions”Red Herring / Evading the QuestionAvoids the theological issue by refusing engagement, derailing meaningful discussion and shifting attention away from Scripture.
“I see what you believe”Poisoning the Well / Ad Hominem CircumstantialDismisses the entire position based on the speaker rather than the substance of the argument. No rebuttal is given.
No Scripture or theological argument providedArgument from Silence / Non-argumentOffers no positive biblical case—just silence or dismissal. Evades the burden to support one’s own claims.
Overall posture of disengagementVirtue Signaling / Spiritual One-upmanshipPresents evasion as if it were spiritual discernment, avoiding 1 Peter 3:15’s command to give a defense.

Scripture Reminder:
1 Peter 3:15 – "Always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you..."
I see what you believe, and I have posted and set forth clearly what I believe.

I engaged with you and you responded to me and I asked a clarifying question about your view of the verses.

It's not a topic discussion anymore... It's not even trying to be, and your making no sense. .

Ive engaged you. Thats how I know what you believe, and if you honest you should know what I believe.

I am being honest because the follow through with your logic is that people can be born, live their entire life without faith in Christ and be saved.

That is the logical end point of your argument, which in the end doesn't give the appearance of actually believing the verses of Scripture that tell us we are justified by Grace through faith.

Justification through faith is the fruit and outcome of the Doctrines of Grace in action. It stands right at the center of salvation—explaining what happens when God gives a sinner a new heart and draws him/her to trust in Christ alone.

And it's the beauty of it, because it shows us it is all of Christ, yet you seem wholly opposed. This doesn't use language that's not in the Bible. It's just right there in the text as the means of justifications application in time and it's because of Christ's work and it is Christ's work both in and upon us.

Your argument against doesn't make sense.
