Genesis 2

2 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2 And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. 3 So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation. Genesis 2:1-3.

Anyone notice there is no conclusion to the seventh day? No evening and morning?

I think we may still be in the seventh day.

Thoughts?

It is unfortunate that the 17th cent. pastor who added the chapter-verse divisions didn't notice that 1-3 is summary material for ch 1.

Cassuto, in FROM ADAM TO MOSES, shows that most of Gen 1-39, which was originally oral, has a 4 part format:
1, title/heading
2, pre-existing condition
3, new narrative material
4, summary statement

You can see this in 1:1, 2:4 and 5:1 and some 20 locations through Genesis.
