Conversion

The doctrine of conversion is incomprehensible without the reformed doctrine of human depravity.

Agree?

Why or why not?
I agree, because All are at Enmity with God. Couple this with the knowledge there's no one who does Good...

I Agree, because John 6:65 tells us you can't come to Jesus unless the Father grants it.

I agree. Without it one never truly grasps our need, our position before God as creatures, His holiness, the full value of the cross, or the magnitude of power, glory, and love of God in redeeming a people for Himself. Without it one cannot understand regeneration, and places it, not in an actual powerful, supernatural work of the Holy Spirit within us, and that purely by the grace of God, but in something of ourselves that we give to God and earn conversion. It cannot understand grace beyond its surface and as an intellectual acknowledgement of it.

Where does the Bible talk about TOTAL depravity?
I said human depravity. You asked about total depravity. Do you not see (total) depravity in scripture?

Do you know what depravity is?

See, this alone I found, that God made man upright, but they have sought out many schemes.
Ecc 7.29

Or,

Do you know how sinful sin is?

We all know the effects of sin in the unregenerate. But do we understand sin in the lives of the regenerate?
Paul says, So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. Romans 7:21.

Since I know nothing of EITHER "DOCTRINE" (at the academic level) I agree.

It's probably "incomprehensible".

Simple as that.

What exactly is the “doctrine” of conversion?

When I attempted to Google an answer, I tended to get circular definitions or just general discussions on the nature of conversion (neither of which is ‘doctrine’: a principle or position or the body of principles in a branch of knowledge or system of belief).

Doctrine means Teachings; there are Teachings on Conversion...

The OP spoke about “THE Doctrine of Conversion” as if referring to something specific. I am not being (deliberately) pedantic, but there is a difference between a SPECIFIC ‘Doctrine of Conversion’ and being able to talk about ‘teachings on conversion’ in general. Thus my request for clarification … to avoid answering a question that nobody is asking.

My definition is Conversion = Saving Faith + Repentance
Saving Faith = Christ is God, Lord and Savior
Repentance = Change of mind such that one now has Saving Faith

Yup in a nutshell -
Saving Faith = Christ is God, Lord and Savior
Nope - that's just "belief" (mental assent) It's TRUE factually, but it's not "Faith" (Rom 10:17, Heb 11:1), just "theology".
Repentance = Change of mind such that one now has Saving Faith
pretty good. Jesus REPENTED at John's baptism. He REPENTED of being head of Mary's family in Joseph's absence, turned around, and became an itinerant teacher instead until they killed Him.

The deeper one sees their own depravity the clearer the need of a Savior.

Luke 7:47 NKJV
Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little."

Conversion is one of those subjects which isn't mentioned so much these days. Do you understand conversion, and what it is? By me asking you this question I feel silly, as I know you have a good understanding of much. So please forgive me for the question.

I'm just a bit confused over your confusion. :)
