The term "RSVP" can't be found in the Bible; nevertheless its connotation is very
important in the overall plan of salvation; for example:
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take
my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and
you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." (Matt
11:28-30)
Jesus statement requires a response, i.e. speak up and tell him you want that rest
about which he spoke.
Here's another:
"If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have
asked him and he would have given you living water." (John 4:10)
Again:
"On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If
anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the
Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him. By this he
meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that
time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified."
And:
"The Spirit and the bride say: Come! And let him who hears say: Come!
Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of
the water of life." (Rev 22:17)
Go! Go! Go! Tell him you want in on that water! It's a freebee; so take it!
Here's a suggestion. If you've never spoken with Chrisit about anything before: find
some privacy, even a restroom stall will do. Cover your face with your hands. It will
give you a sense of connection. Then just say what's on your mind: under your
breath is okay. But however you choose to communicate with Heaven: get to it
while the offer is still on the table 'cause there's coming a day when it won't be.
● 2Cor 6:1-2 . . As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in
vain. For he says: In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I
helped you. I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation.
