Jesus is not a "day" nor is He ever symbolically/metaphorically linked to being a "day" in the Bible; He's linked to being "the vine", "the lamb", "the door", "the rock" and many other things but never, not once, a "day". We must stick to the Bible and the Bible only, and God made holy, the actual seventh day and makes a clear declaration of those going into the heavenly kingdom.
He is referred to as the Day or Morning star. Or the day of the lord a time element .
The shadows of ceremonial laws to include the fast became complete as the result of the first century reformation.
Hebrews 9:8-10 The Holy Ghost this
signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:Which was a
figure (parable) for
the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that
could not make him that did the service
perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; Which
stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and
carnal ordinances,
imposed on them until the
time of reformation.
Ceremonial laws are shadow as signs designed to the unbelieving world. In that way without parables Christ spoke not .
Not a sign to the performers .Believers have prophecy. It's an evil generation that seeks after a shadow of the eternal
The word rest(sabbath) is not a time sensitive word .Whenever we hear his choice and harden not of heart we have entered it. Would you agree? Or do we have to wait to the 7th day?
Below the result of worshipping shadows in ceremonial laws . Aarons two sons added their own personal touch to edifying their own self
They were consumed, the ceremonial attire not a hint of smoke . Same with the 7th day ceremonial shadow 7 to represent perfect or complete a sign to unbelieving world. Not to the performers
The attire was designed to represent the glory of God they took the glory of God beauty upon themselves
Exodus 28:40 And for Aaron's sons thou shalt make coats, and thou shalt make for them girdles, and bonnets shalt thou make for them, for
glory and for
beauty.
Leviticus 10:1 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put
fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered
strange fire before the
Lord, which
he commanded them not.
The two days of rest from the work needed maintain these bodies . The first portion of that rest is preparation .A purifying fire is needed. If not the Manna becomes useless in that parable. The second day completes the rest as a show that pointed ahead.
One person did not prepare his heart and as to preparation He tried to build a fire and boil it on the day it was to be eaten He was killed in respect to his unbelief as a example
Numbers 15:32-34King James Version And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that
gathered sticks upon the
sabbath day. And they that found him
gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation. And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him
