Should I, therefore, call into question your faculties? No. How about...Perhaps you aren't catching the intent of the words I used. Let me rephrase slightly... "The impression that God intended to display by having this temple built of stone instead of just another tabernacle (as in the wilderness wanderings) was for Israel to have a stable, fixed location for sacrificial worship."
Show me the verse where God reports God initiating the temple.
Then show me the verse where God chose Solomon by name to build the temple prior to 1 Chron. 28.
