Are you having issues getting past sin in your lfe? Have faith my friends. Jesus said in John 8, He that commits sin is a slave to it. But if He sets you free from it, free you are indeed. Paul speaks of this slavery and the freedom Jesus offers in Romans 7 and 8. He says In respect to the bondage, the evil that he wouldn't he does. And if he does what he doesn't want to, it isn't him, but the sin in him, even though he delights over the Law of God that is in his mind. He can't help himself.

He calls this dilemma a law in 7:21 and says it is the law of sin, and it has him in captivity in verse 23.

Then he pleads, oh wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from this body of death! And then I’m respect to that he says, there is now no condemnation to us who are in Christ Jesus.

Why?

For the Spirit of the Life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the Law of sin so that the righteousness of the Law be fulfilled in us. Who walk after this Spirit of life in Christ Jesus and not after the flesh. For if we walk after the flesh we shall die. But if we through walking in the Spirit of the life in Christ Jesus mortify the deeds of the body we shall live.

So how are we set free from death?

By walking in the Spirit of the life in Christ Jesus mortifying the deeds of the body that the righteousness of the Law be fulfilled in us.

In respect to this, how much leaven leavens the whole?

What if we are only walking in part and not wholly?

I would offer the word three throughout the Bible is used to denote "the end of a matter" .Used 9 times in Mathew in that way

Mathew 13: 33 Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman (church) took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

Three a unknown . . .non revealed as "the end ". His desire believers look to the unseen things Christ our invisible God . And not those of the number numbering days and people .

Show how that relates to the OP, without just mentioning that there was a common term in his post and yours: "Leaven".

In other words, complete your point, show the relevance —what was your reason for saying the above?

(By the way, your first sentence, and, of course, the quote from Matthew, was very easy to follow; nicely done, though better English would be, "I would offer [that] the word, 'three', throughout the Bible is used to denote...", or as you have done elsewhere, "I would offer: The word, 'three', throughout the Bible is used to denote...". —Notice the commas and quote marks around the word, "three", as I wrote it.
(The last sentence, however, was not easy to follow. And the next-to-the-last sentence, "Three a unknown . . .non revealed as 'the end '." is incomprehensible. No idea what you are getting at there; it even seems at best to be in contrast with the principle you presented in the first sentence. We are left having to guess what you are saying. It makes me, at least, less willing to take the time to figure out what you mean, when too often I have to give up, in the end. YOU need to do the work, instead of making your readers do it.
(In English, you don't, for example, say, "His desire believers look to the unseen things...". You probably meant to say, "His desire [is that] believers look to the unseen things...". Likewise, you don't say, "...unseen things Christ our invisible God.", but, maybe, "...unseen things [of] Christ our invisible God.", or something like that. English doesn't use modifiers and descriptors in the declensions and conjugations of nouns and verbs in the same way other languages do. You have to insert prepositions (or prepositional phrases) to tie one phrase or word to the next.)
(PS: There are free language apps online —(I think there are, anyway)— that check your grammar and provide suggestions as to how to say what you mean to say.)

I would add here, that imparted righteousness vs imputed righteousness is key. We are freed from death not by what we do or will ever do. We are freed from death, sin and condemnation by the One Man's act of Obedience. in other words, it is by His doing that we are freed from sin, death and condemnation.

And through Faith Alone we receive all the heavenly blessings of Christ. And being baptized into His death we arise anew in the Spirit to live to God. But we will continue to sin, though we will repent of it and grow in the Spirit. This struggle with sin is a life long process. But our Justification is a one-time declaration event the moment we believe and are united to Christ. And being united with Christ the Holy Spirit transforms us daily into the image of Christ. And where sin abounds grace abounds even more.

I will have to look more into this. Thank you for sharing

Agreed, except for the term, "continue to sin", as those very words are what we are not only enjoined to eschew, but it is said that we do not continue to sin. The Greek there is not the English, however. The Greek notion is not even that some sins are not repeated from time-to-time, but that we do not live in sin. Sin is not our lifestyle, nor is our mindset the same as that of the unregenerate.

That is not a given
Name anyone who was without sin, needing to ask for daily forgiveness? This is why Paul calls himself the chief of sinners. And possesses a body of death. That the members of his body rage war against the Law of his mind.

23 but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?

Well, in these bodies of death, these sinful members rage war against the Law of my mind. What I mean by continue to sin, is the struggle or a raging war between the old man and the new man. But we will sin, because the things we want to do we do not do, and the things we do not want to do we keep doing. Why? because sanctification or the newness walk of the believer in the Spirit, is still struggling with daily sins. It could be pride, pompous attitude, not loving God and our neighbor with all our hearts, mind and soul. Do we really love God and neighbor with everything? Idolatry is spending time on others things rather than on God. Do we place other things above God in our lives? TV, friends, video games, sports, etc. How much time do we dedicate to the Lord each day? Only on Sundays? The list goes on and on. This is why in the Lord's prayer we pray for daily forgiveness.

23 but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. 24 Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?

The Apostle Paul knew this quite well. Am I saying that we should continue to sin? God forbid! We must walk in the Spirit which this is a daily thing. But also looking to the One who conquered sin, death and Satan. And in him our good deeds while tainted with sin, are acceptable to God because of our Union in Christ through faith Alone! Where sin abounds, Grace abound even more!

The key continue

When we sin we can miraculously continue in His living word. His grace continues to teach us to say no to sin.

In that way he is our confidence .He promised if he began the good teaching work in us he will continue till we take our last breath(Philippian 1:6)

Having forgiven all of our sin .We can repent. Comforted . .return to our first love . Christ giving us ears to hearing his understanding we therefore can do the first works of His Spirit powerfully working in us. Both to hear and to do to his good pleasure

Revelations 2:4-5 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

Christ continues to work in believers . like the parable below .. The Pharisees with Sadaucesss who sought after lying signs to wonder after rather than prophecy.

They tried to use the letter of the law "death" by stoning a woman used to represent the church the bride .

Twice Jesus wrote thier names in the dust to show he adds names in a book after the lamb slain from the foundation and erases those not born from above. Two books

John 8:6-8King James Version This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground

Again twice to indicate those born again

A parallel parable of the "deceitful heart" is found in Jerimiah 17

Jerimiah 17:9-13 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool. A glorious high throne from the beginning is the place of our sanctuary. O Lord, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters.

Therefore the believer can continue in the living word

John 8:30-32King James Version30 As he spake these words, many believed on him. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
