Any revelation from God in person, and teaching of Christ to his apostles in person, are to be rejected, including the spirit and Pentecost, and the heavens- scripture is the only authority!

There is not defense against the " flaming sword of the Spirit" the living word of God (sola scriptura) . It defend us, we as apostles sent messengers preach it, The Holy Father does the teaching if any , comforting and guiding .and bringing to our memory the previous things he has taught us (John 14)

Moses coming down covering his face hiding the glory of God. Parables are not prophecy (forth-telling the future), in the NT they are analogies of spiritual reality drawn from the natural order.

The temporal historical must be compared to the unseen eternal. according to the prescription needed to rightly divide the parables (prophecy)

In addition to God's purpose to include both Jews and Gentiles in the NT church (Eph 3:6), there are several other mysteries, or things formerly hidden or obscure, but now revealed for all to understand:

1) incarnation - God appeared in a body (1 Ti 3:16),
2) death of Christ - 1 Co 2:1, 7-8,
3) God's purpose to sum up all things in Christ - to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ (Eph 1:9),
4) change that will take place at the resurrection - we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed (1 Co 15:51),
5) plan of God by which a remnant of both Jew and Gentile, after a period of disobedience by both, will by his mercy be included in his kingdom (Ro 11:25).
Therefore, the mystery has been revealed and we, 20 centuries later, should stop talking about it as if it is still a mystery. It's no longer a mystery. It's no fact and truth.

You know, the first two centuries the Christians and the Church was being persecuted which delay them from articulating the revelation of the Trinity and Hypostatic Union doctrines. Then in 313 AD, the Emperor Constantine issued the Edict of Milan, which granted Christianity legal status. Couple years later the First Council of Nicaea in 325 AD. As many years continue to go Christianity became the official religion of the Roman Empire when Emperor Theodosius I issued the Edict of Thessalonica in 380. At that time the Church was going through its susceptible defense against Christological heresies of debates, more councils like Chalcedon in 451 AD, and creeds in order to unify the Church.
