“The Gospel” is an ambiguous term for it has a different meaning to each person. The word gospel means “good news”, but the contents of the good news varies from person to person. In new testament terms the gospel is the proclamation of the person and work of Jesus Christ plus how the benefits of that work can be appropriated to us by saving faith and saving faith alone. R.C. Sproul

Oh for crying out loud, brother. Is the presentation of the Gospel in this video ambiguous? Yes or no?
And if the gospel is different from person to person then we are all in really big trouble. So my dear Dr. Sproul can go pound sand on this subject unless the context of this quote was for something entirely different.
Anyone here confused as to which Gospel is being talked about? No? Only FastFredy? Ok then.

And just for the record I'm aware of and agree there were other "Gospels". For example the "Gospel of the Kingdom". And that "gospel" didn't have a different meaning to each person. It had a specific meaning to a group of people...the Hebrews. But I would most decidedly mention if that little sidebar was on the table.
To be fair it appears Sproul is saying it is an ambiguous term because it has different meanings to different people. Then he goes on ahead to straighten that out and make it clear. So, in the end, he is asserting it doesn't matter what it means to different people, there is only one Gospel.
