The Mercy of God From the Reformed View

Is truth divine and immutable or no?
Truth is divine and immutable.

However, humans are neither and no human is divine or immutable. Neither does any human possess whole truth or divine and/or immutable truth (despite many claiming to do so). Post #114 in the "Questioning the Reformation" thread evidences that.

The problem of truth is in a way easy to state: what truths are, and what (if anything) makes them true. But this simple statement masks a great deal of controversy. Whether there is a metaphysical problem of truth at all, and if there is, what kind of theory might address it, are all standing issues in the theory of truth. - Truth (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy)

There you go, knock yourself out ... a great read on TRUTH. [We can even start a topic to discuss the meaning and nature of Truth.] ;)
Truth must be revealed by God thru Christ to His church (the apostles Jude 1:3) then must be proposed by the church, (Matt 28:19 gal 3:23) without error by the Holy Spirit! (Jn 16:13) one faith (eph 4:5) the faith delivered to the apostles (Jude 1:3)

Truth must be revealed by God thru Christ to His church (the apostles Jude 1:3)
God already did that. We have all that He intended for us to have and all that we need between the covers of our present day Bibles. (Jude 1:1-3) An apostle must be appointed directly by Jesus, have been with Him during His earthly ministry, and been a witness to His resurrection Acts 1:21-26
then must be proposed by the church,
Define "the church."
Matt 28:19 Jesus is talking to those He is appointing as apostles and telling them to teach all that He has taught them during is lifetime and the 40 days He was with them after His resurrection. You must prove otherwise if you disagree.

Gal 3:23 says nothing about anything being proposed to the church.

John 16:13 Jesus is talking to the twelve not the church.

Eph 4:5 Applies to all those in Christ. If you are applying it to the church then you need to define what you mean by "church" as obviously you mean something other than simply all those in Christ through faith.

Jude 1:3 Who do you say are the saints?

without error by the Holy Spirit! (Jn 16:13) one faith (eph 4:5) the faith delivered to the apostles (Jude 1:3)
That has already been done by God through the Holy Spirit. We have all that He intended that we have as to truth, and all that we need, between the covers of our present day Bibles. The apostles have all gone to be with the Lord.

Paul don’t qualify then?
Define "the church."

Until the end of the world

Gal 3:23 says nothing about anything being proposed to the church.
Revealed to the church and taught by the church
John 16:13 Jesus is talking to the twelve not the church.
The apostles are the church
Eph 4:5 Applies to all those in Christ. If you are applying it to the church then you need to define what you mean by "church" as obviously you mean something other than simply all those in Christ through faith.
Thee faith one faith the faith rejected by the so-called reformers
Jude 1:3 Who do you say are the saints?

The church the communion of saints under the authority of the apostles

That has already been done by God through the Holy Spirit. We have all that He intended that we have as to truth, and all that we need, between the covers of our present day Bibles. The apostles have all gone to be with the Lord.
Where does scripture say what is scripture?
Where does it say all truth revealed by Christ and taught by the apostolic church are contained in scripture!

The apostles have the same authority as Christ Jn 20:21 if He can make apostles so can they.

Is Patrick the apostle to Ireland?
Cyril and methodius apostles?

Thanks
