It used to be a simple cut and paste, but now apparently we need files. I'm computer illiterate, for the most part.

Are you changing it to an image already in your computer or something you found online? If you're using something found online, then first make sure the image is small (like icon size). You can search for the image using your favorite search engine by setting its search feature to look for small or icon sized images. If you're using a PC then right click the image and open it in a separate window, then right click that image and save to your computer. Save it in a folder that's easily accessed.

Then click on your handle at the right hand top of your browser and select Preferences. Once there just hold your mouse over your avatar and select Edit. A window will open, and you then click on Choose File. Go to the folder where your image is located and click on that image file and select Open.

  1. Click on your handle (top right corner of browser)
  2. Select Preferences
  3. Hold mouse cursor over you existing avatar and click Edit
  4. Click Choose File
  5. Navigate to the folder where the image is stored and click on the image.
  6. Select Open

Thankyou.:) I think that I'll give it a try tomorrow, first thing. I need to think up what I want for an avatar first. I'll probably go with something online. Thanks again.

Go with Super Dave Osborne...
I like that:). I can't figure this this thing out. This is where I'm getting lost.

"If you're using a PC then right click the image and open it in a separate window, then right click that image and save to your computer. Save it in a folder that's easily accessed."

That's ok, not really that big a deal.

I've used that avatar that you're using. I think it was at grace centered forum a long time ago.
