Whisky or whiskey and other spirits, like brandy made from fruits

I have now created a thread about it after all.
I think I owe that to my ancestors.
They were farmers and wine-growers.
And as farmers they had the right to distill their fruits: Cherries and plums and pears and others.

I used to like them all. Far far too much. Then God put me into anaphylactic shock and I became an unwilling coffee drinker for the rest of my life.
