Which religious holidays do you see as specially important?

I hope that some day somebody will click onto something in my list. :)

I have clicked onto 6 options.

Among them:

  • Corpus Christi Day

  • All Saints Day

NOT ONE CLICK - except mine.

I am really dis-appointed.

Sorry.

I am really interested in real answers.

1Co 5:8 Let us therefore celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

The Christian life is a continuous festival, and we can celebrate daily.
God instituted festivals in remembrance of His favor.

I do celebrate Him for Him giving us His only begotten as Lord and Savior, I celebrate the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, and I celebrate Him for empowering us to go out in boldness and proclaim the gospel.

Resurrection Day is my favorite personally because its when our Lord conquered sin, death and the devil and its the centerpiece of the gospel- He has Risen from the dead, God raised Him from the dead is what they went out and preached in every message in Acts.

Secondly it was Christmas morning raising my kids/grand-kids on the birth of Christ and reading it from the Bible every year with the family when they got downstairs. Its how we started out that day with our focus on Him. One of my favorite mornings would be when I would share the Prologue from the gospel of John and we would just contemplate how amazing that was and have a discussion sharing our thoughts on what that meant to each one of us.

and 8 say Easter and Christmas

a question:

Do you say Resurrection Day - to avoid the word Easter?
Do you think the word Easter is a pagan word?

I think Easter is fine with most Christans. Usually, a discussion over whether to call it Easter or Resurrection Day; is about trying to draw a distinction between the Bunny and the Blood...

The debate May boil down to arguing the Weaker and Stronger Brothers. One Christian may be able to go on an Easter egg hunt, but the other Christian May not...

If the Weaker Brother can't get the Stronger Brother to go to Church instead of an Easter egg hunt, then the Stronger Brother may have a problem...
