Greetings Carbon,
What are Your Personal Theological Convictions?
I was interested in your list and decided to add my own convictions and some comments by adding them next to your items:
Bibliology- The Bible alone is the Word of God. (Inspired, Inerrant) TrevorL: Agreed
Church Government- Congregational TrevorL: Most probably similar - we are a lay fellowship
Covenant Theology - Classic TrevorL: Not sure what you hold, but we believe in the New Covenant in Christ with the promises concerning Eve's seed in Eden, the promises to Abraham and the promises to David all being fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
Theology Proper- Trinitarian TrevorL: Biblical Unitarian
Christology- Hypostatic Union (Solus Christus) TrevorL: Jesus was and is a human, born to God the Father as his father and Mary as his mother.
Pnuematology- Effectual Calling of the Holy Spirit. Monergistic Regeneration. TrevorL: No direct infusion or possession of the Holy Spirit
Epistemology-
Hermeneutics-
Grammatical Historical. TrevorL: Agreed
Soteriology- Saved by Grace Alone through Faith in Christ Alone TrevorL: Saved by grace through justification by faith, and this faith needs to grow from an initial belief of the Gospel, then must be strengthened and grow, and then show forth the fruits of faith.
Anthropolgy- Total Human Depravity (Bondage of the will) TrevorL: Man is prone to sin, but sin must be wrestled with and overcome to a certain and significant extent by the power of the Word of God.
Charismata- Cessationist. TrevorL: The Holy Spirit gifts are not available today.
Ecclesiastic Authority- Sola Scriptura. TrevorL: Agreed
Baptism - Covenant Paedobaptism. TrevorL: Adult baptism after belief of the Gospel.
Lord's Supper -Spiritual Presence. TrevorL: Literal partaking of the Bread and Wine each week as symbols of the death and resurrection of Jesus, and by this means an acknowledgement of his sacrifice and an identification with this and the way of the crucified and resurrected life in Christ.
Apologetic - Presuppositionalist. TrevorL: Do not know what this represents
Cosmology - Biblical - Old earth. TrevorL: Agreed
Eschatology - Amillenialist. TrevorL: Pre-millenialist and the 1000 year reign of Christ over Israel and the nations from Jerusalem
Atonement - Penal Substitionary Atonement TrevorL: Representative Atonement
Sanctification - Monergistic TrevorL: Do not know what this represents
Providence - TrevorL: Believe very much in the guiding Providence by God the Father and Jesus. Examples: the lives of Jacob, Joseph, David and Hezekiah
Statement of Faith: Westminster Confession of Faith. TrevorL: Christadelphian Birmingham Amended Statement of Faith

Kind regards
Trevor
