To be reformed is not to be affiliated with a certain church, nor to be identified with certain social or racial mores. To be reformed is to hold to the most basic truths set forth in the Word of God.

Nowhere will one find them set forth more succinctly, nor more magnificently than in the cannons of the Synod of Dort.
