The Mind of Christ sessions 2 and 3

Session 4

I'm not done watching these of course, I have only managed about half of the first sermon you posted in this thread and of course I already finished Session 1 ..

I was actually thinking about something else this morning but this sermon entered my mind again, and it really did just hit me this way. Romans 12:2 (ESV) says, “Be transformed by the renewal of your mind” Renewal is actually anakainōsis, Greek for “renovation” and I started picturing renovations on a house, tearing up old floors and putting down new, tearing down walls and etc.

Its too personal to post why, but this actually helps me with something I've been especially frustrated about.

Thanks for posting these sister, it does help me learn and understand and grow. :) Love and Peace in Christ.

I haven't watched 3 and 4 yet, but the first two were so informative and edifying, I put them up. I watch them on YouTube on my TV. I am glad you are getting good from them. Your house renovation analogy is great.

When I was doing a search in you tube for the other three sessions, using "Voddie The MInd of Christ, Session 2" it also pulled up a number of other sermons by non-Reformed with the same title. I clicked on a couple to make a comparison on how the subject was being treated. I could only listen for a couple of minutes, the difference was so remarkable and it is sad that what was being taught in them is what a mass of Christians think is the truth.

Who we are in Christ did not enter the equation. It was just a "self help" motivational speech, and one of works. Things like, "If you have a negative thought, replace it with a positive thought." In the language of worldly psychologists, "Change your internal dialogue."
