The Christian Life

The Christian life is the Lord Jesus living His own Life in the believer (via His Holy Spirit), without the believer just mimicking His way of Life. We cannot live the Lord's Life but can live like Him, and this He of course so desires. Not trying to live His Life but like His Life. It stands to reason than nobody can live the life of another, for it can only be done by the one possessing that life. Christ's Life is now the believers Life--forever (Col 3:4).

I agree completely. THIS is at the core of the Gospel. This is how John 17 is true —scary, overwhelming, but true. This is also how "...apart from me you can do nothing."
