As some here already know, I'm Scottish.

I believe in salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone, to the glory of God alone and in Sola Scriptura. I also believe in T.U.L.I.P. and in believer's baptism, preferably by immersion.

I'm a "continuationist" but I reject the nonsense and dreadful exegesis (if any) that often accompanies the Charismatic movement.

Above all, I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, who is King of kings and Lord of lords, the most wonderful friend anyone could ever have, and incredibly patient to put up with me.

If your Scottish you should be Presbyterian. šŸ˜

I have attended Presbyterian services (at one point, for five months in a row, in a Calvinist Church of Scotland meeting), but my doctrine is far more Reformed Baptist than Presbyterian.

Hi David, we ran into each other on the Worthy Forums before you left. You were about the only person there that talked sense and I was sad to see you go. It's good to meet you here again!

My surname is Scottish. For all that, I've only been to Edinburgh once in my life. Don't know where in Scotland my ancestor came from. He was drafted onto a ship in the late 1700s to go to India and he settled there, so I have mixed heritage. His name was Abraham (a popular name back in those days). Through family tree research we suspect he took a Scottish surname but wasn't even Scottish. But his descendent was of Indian mix who became a Christian and translated the Bible into an Indian language and composed hymns that they still sing.

Thanks for the compliment, Dave (good name, by the way). I must say, though, that I don't recognise "Regenerated" as a Scottish surname. Perhaps it was "MacRegenerated"?

Good lady, long live scotland their democracy and seperate government from England. Scottish rule return Hurrah.

If, by "Good lady", you mean Nicola Sturgeon, then I beg to differ; although, her successor appears to be even worse.

England doesn't have its own government, since Westminster is the U.K. Government.

I definitely do not want Scotland to secede from the U.K., especially not with the shower we have in the Scottish Government just now.
