Doctrines of Grace vs 'we create our own stress'.
God decrees in himself all things whatsoever comes to pass, would that not include decreeing stress as opposed to one creating their own stress?

You never have had stress?

........

You mean stress that I have created myself, contrary to God who has decreed in himself all things that come to pass, including stress.
So God makes you stressful? Not your bad choices?

Not your choice to remain ignorant of the Bible doctrine needed to overcome with?

How does one overcome God's decrees of whatsoever comes to pass?

How does one overcome God's decrees of whatsoever comes to pass?

By Him decreeing to present to you with offering the Truth that you have neglecting, needed sound doctrine that would snap you out of the
concept that our relationship of God is based upon his sovereignty. Which is time and space dimension hopping.

Thinking always in terms of God's sovereignty as our guiding light is fatalism.

How does one overcome God's decrees of whatsoever comes to pass?
You don't overcome the decree.
You over come what was decreed for you to face.

To face what alerts you to a deficiency in understanding that needs to be overcome by means of learning more and more Bible doctrine,
so the Spirit can use what is learned truth to give you power to overcome.

"Thinking always in terms of God's sovereignty as our guiding light" is called decree, not fatalism; one cannot thwart God's decrees.

Now, you speak as if one has freewill to understand and learn Bible doctrine.

Jesus said.... The Truth will not make you free.

God's ENABLING grace makes one able to choose what is right, and be given the power to do it.

Standing by for the ENABLING grace.

Without 1 John 1:9 taken seriously and understood you will find it.

Keep in mind. 1 John 1:9 includes mental and attitude sins that we all need to face and come to grips with.....

Being and excuse maker also constitutes sin.

One cannot overcome unless God has decreed it so.
But God has decreed it so ... in Christ. Therefore, what excuse does a believer have if they fail to overcome stress?

1 John 5:4&5
4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 5 Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

And, what is our faith to be?

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God/Christ." Romans 10:17

We got to be taught by searching and finally finding a good pastor teacher.
Not one who is a promoter of some denominational dogma so common minded folks can bond together as a club.
But, one who teaches the Word of God line upon line with integrity and skill imparted by the Spirit.

grace and peace .............

And here I thought faith was a gift from God, and not our own faith?

If you believe someone who just gave you directions on how to get to a certain place? You have your own faith.

Its a gift when God transforms our faith into having divine power when what we believe agrees correctly with the Word of God.

The transformation of our faith happens after we believe; yet, another flavour of Calvinism?
