It's good to see some friends here from another forum - Rella, RB, Andia, and Buff so far. Thank you, Rella, for alerting me to this new forum, and am looking forward to sharing fruitful discussions here too with everyone, as often as I am able.
Though I have been a believer for 50 plus years, it has only been in the last twelve years when I have plunged into a deeper study of God's word than I ever had before in my life. However, any effort to be a Berean comes with a cost, which has required my having to jettison many of the things which I had been taught from childhood and from various pulpits I have sat under. Fellowship online with the family of faith is a real blessing for me, since I have had to withdraw membership from a SB church which had been home for 16 years, and where my spouse still attends.
I share similarities with those holding Reformed views on this site; with those who post concerning mutual submission in the church and the home; also with those holding Preterist views, and those recognizing an ancient, "recycled" planet with an almost 6,000-year-old population living on it. With such an eclectic blend of views, it isn't likely that I will find a local church home that I could settle into, but online fellowship is something which I can cherish just as well.
