Just checking in.
Reformed Presby's?Just checking in.
My church is if that counts?Just checking in.
A record one can be proud of!My church is if that counts?
Of course we just split off from the RCA due too...stuff...and are now associated with ARC.
The pastor and elders of my church are very very fond of me and I of them. So much so that I haven't hucked a shoe at them during most sermons and they haven't chased me out of town.
Reformed and amil here. . .Presbyterian PCAJust checking in.

“ just split off”
I'm in a protestant church thats not reformed.“ just split off”
As I highlight elsewhere , those who accept ( provably false )doctrine of SOLA scriptura , have no way to resolve disputes.
So they schism and form new congregations because of disputes on doctrine., as you have, . which is sad.
It is understabding the reason why we all disagree on doctrine, and looking for the mechanisms Jesus instituted to resolve disputes, that can allow us all to understand WHY we hold different views. Why even the first Protestants all disagreed with each other.
When you say to others “ you believe stuff that is against what the bible says” what you actually mean is your personal interpretation is different from theirs.
So how do you solve a dispute without schism?
But ever since the beginning there were those appointed with the power to decide , who outed many heresies.
The nicene creed was the result of an inspired decision to reject arianism.
The appointed bishop successors of apostles were given the power by Jesus to bind and loose. The magisterium.
That’s why scripture says the pillar of truth is the physical church, the household of God. And whatever that church was he referred must have existed in the early days at the time of writing! Those bishops and successors….
Listen to them,
I'm sorry you feel the need to attack Sola Scriptura incessantly. It is sad to witness. We are not Solo Scriptura, and that is in fact what you are really attacking -- a straw man. Not that you will listen to reason, I make this point for others that may perhaps listen to reason instead of knee-jerk reacting in ignorance to Sola Scriptura as you are.“ just split off”

Many Catholics facilitate their "true church" mantra with the myth that they and they alone are all in perfect unity in doctrine. And they are "not like other men" Luke 18:9-14.Yes...just split off. And for biblical reasons even you would understand. In fact biblical reasons the RCC is crumbling under.
Recently ( the last 25 years or so ) the RCA like so many other churches has been under assault by forces that wish it to acknowledge "gay marriage" and other such blasphemies like homosexual clergy. "Minor attracted" ( pedophile ) persons.
All old hat too the RCA. You are infamous for such things. But rather than coming out of the RCA for these things you choose to hide and perpetuate them. Perhaps you should look to your own house. We are leaving the rot behind like we did the RCA so long ago.
What many fail to understand is both testaments affirm Sola Scripture. The psalmist, prophets , Jesus and the Apostles did in many places . In fact Jesus affirmed it in His temptation with Satan in Matthew 4. It’s nothing but a strawman for those who opposes it. It tells me they have another authority that scripture does not affirm. It reveals they reject 2 Timothy 3:16.I'm sorry you feel the need to attack Sola Scriptura incessantly. It is sad to witness. Alas I can't edit my post because I left it too long. That third paragraph should be RCC...but that's ok. I think everyone got my point. Many Catholics facilitate their "true church" mantra with the myth that they and they alone are all in perfect unity in doctrine. And they are "not like other men" Luke 18:9-14.
Here is the rub: that is a tenet of cults, they must and do all believe the same things, and all these things are controlled by those who lord over them.
It is the only way to resolve disputes. Otherwise all you have is people declaring things as is the case of RCA. What is their basis for denying sola scriptura other than saying it is provably false? What is their basis for gay clergy and indorseing the alphabet community other than by denying sola scriptura and therefore the very commands of God and His created order? Their authority comes from declarations supercedeing scripture, a higher authority, taking their cues from the world instead. As I highlight elsewhere , those who accept ( provably false )doctrine of SOLA scriptura , have no way to resolve disputes.
That is laughable considering that you previously stated the scriptures can't be trusted, and it was Jesus and all the apostles who confirmed the Law and the Prophets (the OT)as the word of God. Jesus did resolve all disputes---with the scriptures. He also resolved the issue of homosexuality in all its forms when He affirmed God's created order. "Marriage is between a man and a woman." Just the way it was in the Garden with the creation of Adam and Eve----not Adam and Joe, or Eve and Sally, or any two people. And what was it Paul, an apostle appointed by Jesus, had to say in Romans about the fall of man and the despicable things we began to do---for which there is no excuse? It is understabding the reason why we all disagree on doctrine, and looking for the mechanisms Jesus instituted to resolve disputes, that can allow us all to understand WHY we hold different views. And He wasn't mealy mouthed and wishy washy or took the current culture into consideration,or PC about it.It is the only way to resolve disputes. Understanding why we disagree on doctrine and why we hold different views will never resolve anything and it is not how Jesus resolved anything. Jesus resolved disputes by declaring the truth of the matter according to God. According to the scriptures.
The difference is sleight of hand not useful.I'm sorry you feel the need to attack Sola Scriptura incessantly. It is sad to witness. bump for @MikeukI'm in a protestant church thats not reformed.
Give me an example of a so-called schism that would need to be resolved in my church fellowship and I will provide the biblical answer to your question.
Thanks !
Nowhere is the Scripture does it even hint at or teach there would be any successor to the Apostles. They and no one else are the foundation of the New Testament teaching/doctrine that Jesus promised to THEM and no one else that THEY the Apostles/Disciples would be guided into all truth. That is and was an exclusive promise Jesus made to THEM. That He would bring to THEIR remembrance everything He has taught THEM. Ephesians 2:20- built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.“ just split off”

Thanks for your opinion. When I see a Presbyterian or any other leave the truth for Rome, that is called apostatizing from the faith. The difference is sleight of hand not useful.
i don’t knock it - I point Out that even the bible doesn’t support it, and it is the reason you neither agree with each other or us.
It is provably logically - historically - scripturally false, and it is the very seed of division and heresy,
The differences arising are huge not small.
OSAS is either true or a massively damaging heresy.
It presumes
1/ that you can discern the truth from scripture without other source and without ambiguity . You can’t.
2/ you can even discern what scripture IS without ambiguity Or other source, You can’t .
3/ that any heresy goes , provided someone somewhere can argue for it, Arianism proves you can’t
4/ that the powers Jesus gave to resolve disputes are nul and void, they are nt.
Here are the stakes. They cannot be higher.
1/ John 6 states that if you do not eat the body and blood , you have no life , and will not be raised up.
2/ so if that’s the Eucharist valid only if by bishop in succession most of you are screwed
3/ even Paul says some are sick and have died because of profaning it’s,
So the differences are as high as they can get, life abs death.
Or if works are necessary but not sufficient , as sheep and goats tell you , then OSAS believess are screwed.
sola scriptura and relying on your own intellect, not the authority Jesus delegated , is the reason for all your divisions and with us,
And for those who teach it - like you - it is even worse if you lead souls astray you will answer for it.
The failure of sola scriptura, and studying the early fathers is why thousands of ministers of all denominations return to Rome.
many of them presbyterian. They coukd not see how to resolve disputes and worried they were teaching heresy,
many of them now celebrated , like Hahn and Grodi.
