Hi I am brother Paul and am new here and honored to be in such a great family by His grace. I have been used as an apologist in an international onlibe ministry for 20 years as a researcher and responder to the questions of many. I look forward to participating in the coming conversations and pray the Lord will use us each to better equip us all (no doubt we will have some differences theologically due to our denominational influences. Also I am a still married grandfather of 5 with four grown children of my own. Helping others and sharing the Lord is my greatest honor (He gets all the glory for that) and I cannot wait to hear some of you expound where He has led you and what He has shown you as I believe He has led and developed each of us to be what He needs from each of us in the eventual unfolding of His Kingdom. Shalom

Welcome to the forum, Paul. Let me encourage you to fill in a little about yourself in your profile page (especially theological differences due to denominational influences :)) and make sure the forum rules are read (and applied ;)).

No problem. How do I get back to my Profile Page?

@brother Paul

Your handle can be clicked on (at the uppr right hand of your browser) and there'll be a menu where preferences can be adjusted. Once there you'll see a menu on the left. Under "Settings" there is "Account Details," and there's a space if you scroll down for putting in a little info about yourself. You can add a "custom title," to your avatar (mine says "Christian"), a "signature," ("all verses in the nas") change your icon, etc.

Sorry but this is not working for me.

No drop-down menu when you click on you "brother Paul"? Huh. Might be because you're new. I'll ask the other staff. Until then please peruse the forum, join in where you feel led to do so, and definitely give us something more to discuss.

Sure I get a drop down menu but no area to change my profile unless you mean that one little type in line? Really? Wow! Okay!

Welcome~May I ask you one question? What's good in the Democratic party? I cannot think of one thing?

Interesting! First hello back Red. I did not realize this was a Political site, I though it was about Jesus and Christianity. Oh well. So let us look at your question as a Christian (one who is Christ like). Jesus went about doing good. He cared about the poor, the fatherless, and the widows. He was concerned for feeding the poor, and strove all His days to set the oppressed free. He offered healing to all that would come seeking it for free. Finally,(though there is much more, He LOVED (a way of treating people not an emotion) His neighbor as Himself and commands us to also do this, and the weapons of His warfare were never carnal.

So I do not adhere to either of the two professional political parties (both being corrupt machines seeking wealth, power and control)but I do follow Jesus. When I vote (and I have voted multiple ways) (I vote for whoever I believe will most likely best promote these goals. I do know this however and that is when I look at history I clearly see that when a Church is legislatively imposed (post-Constantine Rom. middle ages Roman Catholicism, Geneva while Calvin was alive, the Church of England in the 16th through 18th century, and more) tyranny, oppression, and inequity follows and oppression ensues.

Now YOU can select to be whoever you want in this world and follow, or worship what ever arms of flesh that you will, but I recommend you be Christ-like (the meaning of Christian) because there are many who think they are or claim to be but they are not. The selg glorifyers of Matthew 7 are told "I never knew you" by our Lord Himself and in Matthew 26:1-13 we hear about those in the Church (the bridaal chamber awiting His return) doing all the churchianity stuff, that He did not know. They did not have HIS Spirit (Romans 8:9). Maybe they said some magic sinners prayer words or were given a bath but they never trimmed their wicks to be able to give true light and they lacked the inner oil necessary to empower or provide that light. Point being many who claim to be CHRISTIAN are NOT (caps not for emotionalism just emphasis)

So I CAN name a few good things the Repubs have done, or a few hood things that the Dems have done, but I will follow Jesus and strive to defend HIS perspective.

So may the God f glory as the Holy Spirit lead you and guide you into all truth and shape and transform you (us all) into the image of His dear Son.

In His love

Paul

Thanks for answering~I do not want to get too much into politics, but I do have strong feelings against both sides, yet so much more toward the hyper liberals in the corrupt, antichrist, Democratic party. I'll leave it at there. RB

This is the Introductions board of the CCCF forum. This forum has a section for discussing politics and other secular topics. The Introductions board is intended to provide the opportunity for new members to introduce themselves, meet others, and become familiar with the basics of the forum. Topical discourse specific to various concerns among the members is available in the boards specified for those topics. So, if either of you are ever interested in discussing politics, the Bible, salvation, doctrine, or how the Christian faith is practiced from any specific denominational perspective there are boards fo all of that.

Welcome to the forum, @Red Baker

Dear Admin I cannot read this fine grey print. So please excuse me. Apparently I will not be participating.
