My dad

Brothers and sisters I’d really like some prayers over my dad for healing in his body, he’s been battling with a stomach illness for a few years now and doctors have seemed to give up on him, getting passed around from doctor to doctor and I’m not sure if they just don’t care or what the deal is with the medical field in the area that he lives …….no disrespect meant to those in the field but it’s really starting to irritate me because money is available to him.

I appreciate and love you all……

I’m not sure if he’s saved or not, I’ve witnessed to him several times and he seems unwilling to speak with me about Jesus and what he’s done for us on the cross and I’ve had better luck busting concrete with a sledgehammer to get to the core than to get through to him.

I love him so much and I’m writing out of love and partly out of frustration because he just won’t listen to me or anyone I try to send his way.

My family has been dealing with digestive issues for literally a quarter of a century. The work in the field seems to still be in it's infancy. My wife's "food island" is exceedingly small. My own issues have more to do with inflammation ( mostly due to sugar oddly enough. Not diabetic but directly linked ). Irrelevant though when compared too your worries for your Dad's salvation.

Since you've already presented the Gospel too him it's fair game just to sit him down and ask "What, if anything, do you have against Jesus?" Not in confrontation but in love. He's your dad. He should understand that.

So...happy to pray that the Lord opens communication between you two that leads to a better understanding.

Healthwise you really need to simply do an allergen panel with him. From my perspective going on a low carb, no processed sugar diet took care of my stomach problems in a week or two. Those two things should help point the way to a happier stomach.

Thank you my brother, unfortunately my dad’s present health is preventing him from eating any meals at all…..he’s dropped 60 pounds in a matter of weeks and although we are instructed not to worry but it’s hard…..

My dad and I haven’t always had a loving relationship, I’m not gonna get into details but I’ve forgiven and I’ve asked for forgiveness……but he’s unwilling to speak with me about Jesus at all.

I’ve told him numerous times and I’ve reached out to local brothers to pray over him but they seem to be unsuccessful……..I’m not giving up on him though.

Dear brother, I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. I will certainly be praying for him and for you are your family. I lost my dad about 5 years again so know the anguish you are going through.
I will also pray that your Dad's eyes will be opened to the truth of Jesus. The Lord can make a way where there seems to be no way.

Some things they just don't have a cure for. I have been an MLT (Medical Lab Tech) for 22+ years, and I've seen many who've had upper and lower GI issues. Crohn's disease is one such illness. Has he been checked for that? How about his gallbladder? Maybe it's his pancreas? There's a HIDA scan that checks the gallbladder.
