Here is an impression (fwiw) when I think of these two Reformers...
Luther, ..the prophet
Calvin ..the scribe (systematician)

I actually see Calvin as a prophet. I can barely read anything he writes without thinking about prophecy. I don't know why that it, but it's causing me to see him differently.

I heard (i.o.w I don't know how true it is) that although Calvin wrote a commentary on every NT book of the Bible, he didn't write a commentary on Revelation.
Why I assigned 'prophet' to Luther is IMHO his insights were much weightier than Calvin's.
Calvin's interpretation may have been more accurate.

Do you have an analytical mind?
I find most Calvinists are and tend to be engineers.

I see patterns and enjoy researching and learning but I don't suppose I'm the analytical type.

I'm not an engineer..A Calvinist shared Christ with me, he probably set me up for it because when I finally understood salvation the entire theology fell into place .

Interesting, an evangelizing Calvinist!
