Very interesting! But I notice that they wait till the end to give us the bad news —that currently there is no good way to produce this clean fuel without the use of fossil fuels! :cautious: :ROFLMAO:

Very interesting engineering indeed, and yes, we are currently in a transition period where the vast majority of hydrogen is produced using energy derived from fossil fuels. One recent breakthrough using photocatalysis employs nanofilament Titanium Oxide and it shows promise.

- The University of Michigan performed a study using solar panels showing a greater than 9 % efficiency of hydrogen production.
