Denying the Cross, is to deny the power of the Cleansing BLOOD of Jesus , by teaching that only past sins are forgiven by the Sacrifice of Christ on the Cross.

Whereas.....Paul teaches, that the Cross Of Christ is = "THE "ETERNAL Sacrifice for sin"" that is the finished work of Jesus on The Cross..

How do you know its Eternal ?
How do you know the BLOOD ATONEMENT, the NEW COVENANT, written in the Blood of Jesus is "ETERNAL"?, and not just temporary, or "past only" sins are forgiven?

1.) Well, one of the ways you know is that when The Blood Of Jesus has washed away your sin, you have ETERNAL LIFE< and eternal life is not Temporary.
So, the "Power of the Blood of Jesus"..>Its FRUIT, is "ETERNAL LIFE", that is now the Born again Believer's, spiritual domain.

ALSO....

2.) Because the Cross of Cross is 2000 yrs ago, and its still paying for sin TODAY, for as Long as God lives to keep offering ""the Gift of Salvation""" as "the Gift of RIGHTEOUSNESS".

Reader...Listen..

There is a "damned" Galatians 1:8 cult teaching that says...>>>"only the sins that you committed before you are born again, are forgiven"

And that denies the Lord's "ETERNAL Sacrifice for Sin"""

So, the Self Righteous, play this game......Reader..

= "As long as i remember all my sin to confess, God will keep saving me over and over, and forgive me over and over".

So that is now the person up on the Cross..Confessing to try to stay saved....., and Jesus is ripped off the nails by their Self Righteousness.

A.) (Self Saving). = Christ denying.

The Born Again, who understand the "" ONE TIME...ETERAL Sacrifice of Christ "" as """God hath made Jesus to be SIN for us" ...know that Jesus has their sin, and They have become a "new creation in Christ' ....."Made Righteous." and are "one with God" "In Christ", and there is no sin found there.

AS...."::Being Now = made free from sin"::, is the eternal fruit of Jesus's Sacrifice on the Cross. Paul teaches.

See that 'NOW". ????? "NOW being made free from sin"?

That means = right NOW.... and for always.. "being made free"..."from sin".

That is the Power of the Eternal = Blood Atonement.

How does a born again believer "deny the Cross"?

A.) By trying to keep yourself saved.

B.) By believing that you can lose your salvation.

Amen…talk some about entering His Rest and abiding there.

As long as you aren’t willingly sinning against Jesus over and over, if you’re a born again Christian you shouldn’t want to openly sin

Denying the cross is the same as denying the existence of apostles and prophets in the Church today.

What about Judas an apostle of Jesus Christ?

Fallen from grace?

Are you saved?
How can you say you are saved in light of scripture?

Matt 24:13 he who endures to the end shall be saved.

Mark 13:13
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Mk 16:16 he who believes and is baptized shall be saved.

Luke 21:19 In your patience possess ye your souls.

Rev 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

Heb 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

Heb 6:11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

Romans 11:22 – God’s kindness, if you continue in His kindness

Colossians 1:21-23 – holy and blameless, if you continue in the faith"

For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.

Romans 1:5
By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:
(Must remain obedient)

(He who endured to the end) one who dies in a state of grace united to Jesus Christ by faith and baptism!
Mk 16:16 acts 8:36-38 1 pet 3:21
Matt 24:13

Can’t lose your salvation while still in this world:

Acts 1: 18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.

19 And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.

Galatians 5:4
Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

Jn 15:1-5 abide

Eternal life is the life of God in us by faith and baptism.

Verses that oppose “faith alone”!

Mk 16:16 faith and baptism

1 cor 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

1 cor 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Phil 1:29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

2 Peter 1:5-11 : "Make every effort to supplement your faith"

Deut 6:4 love of God
Matt 19:17 commandments
Matt 16:25 lose you’re life / rev 12:11
Matt 28:19 faith & baptism
Matt 24:13 endure
Mk 16:16 faith & baptism
Jn 3:5 water & the spirit
Jn 15:4 abide in Christ
acts 2:38-39 repentance & baptism
acts 8:36-38 faith & baptism
acts 22:16 name of the Lord & baptism
rom 10:10 faith & confession
1 cor 13:2 faith & charity
1 cor 13:13 faith, hope, & charity
1 cor 16:22 love of Jesus Christ
Phil 1:29 faith and suffering rom 8:17 2 Timothy 2:12
1 thes 1:3 faith, love, patience / 2 thes 1:4 / 1 Tim 6:11 /
James 2:24 faith & works
Heb 6:12 faith & patience / rev 13:10
Rev 2:19 works, charity, service, faith, patience
Rev 12:17 testimony of Jesus & commandments
Rev 14:12 commandments & patience

Rev 12:11 over came by the blood of the Lamb not by “faith alone”!

Romans 13:11
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

So salvation by “faith alone” is completely false and impossible if baptism is rejected!

When did the blood atonement happen?

Circumcision of Christ?
Christ’s Agony in the garden?
Death of Christ on the cross?

All three?

Thanks

How does a born again believer "deny the Cross"?

A.) By trying to keep yourself saved.

B.) By believing that you can lose your salvation.
I disagree. First, regarding (A), I suspect anyone "trying" to do good, be righteous, or who believes one must bear fruit befitting repentance would reject your characterization that they are "trying to keep themselves saved" as a mischaracterization. Second, regarding (B), belief in the doctrine of eternal security "once saved always saved" is not a condition of salvation.

That is not Scriptural
The Advent of the Holy Spirit is the Life of Christ in His people:

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. Jn 14:17.

Christ is Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor/Shepherd, and Teacher.
This is the Life of Christ in His people.
To deny the Life of Christ TO His people by denying His Ministry IN His people is to deny Christ's Person.
This is the spirit of antichrist as spoken by John.
It is also in denying Christ as Apostle and Prophet today the same as cutting off His thumb and index/pointing finger in the hand of God.
There are even Christians today by their disbelieving of the truth of Scripture that cut off His Head.

That is a whole lot of new stuff not contained in your original statement: "Denying the cross is the same as denying the existence of apostles and prophets in the Church today."---That's what I was responding to.

Also, the "spirit of antichrist" 1 John is denying the Incarnation (that Jesus "came in the flesh")

What God continued on the Day of Pentecost especially with the Gifts the Spirit gives to the Church continues to this day, even to the return of Christ Himself.
Anyone who denies the Life of Christ in His people through His Presence in their lives denies Christ Himself for all the gifts are Himself.
Also, the "spirit of antichrist" 1 John is denying the Incarnation (that Jesus "came in the flesh")
John was specific on that one thing but there is more than denying Christ was born human. Much more.

B.) By believing that you can lose your salvation.
C.) By denying Jesus in the face of persecution.

It sounds like you're saying you can't be a cessationist and be saved. Is that what you're saying?

Agreed

I'm saying one cannot be a cessationist and truly understand the Doctrines of Christ [Doctrines of the Spirit.]
When it comes to spiritual matters there will always be error.
And to go wrong where the Holy Spirit of Christ is concerned is to go wrong everywhere.
It's about His Person.

I know continuationists who have wrong doctrine about the Holy Spirit, and cessationists who have better theology than continuationists (and vice versa) (and I'm a continuationist!). So we can't make such broad sweeping statements. I find this extreme just as wrong as the cessationist extreme of accusing charismatics and pentecostals of demonic, pagan practices. Both extremes are wrong. Cessationists and continuationists are both believers in Christ. Charismatics and pentecostals can help their cause by renouncing false gospels like the "prosperity gospel" and crazy charismatic extremes. Continuationists can help by not throwing the Holy Spirit out with the bathwater.

Pentecostals are a fringe "church" and what happen on Azusa Street in California was not biblical. At least where they say one is not saved unless they speak in tongues which is heresy.
Their fellowships are a breeding ground for sin and unscriptural practices.

Everyone else's church is always "fringe" except their own. It doesn't matter with respect to my point about "charismatics and pentecostals" or however you want to say it or if you prefer we just put it all under the title of "continuationists." Cessationists are believers, too. Do I think they're right on cessationism? No, but that doesn't mean they're unbelievers who because "they're wrong" on this "are wrong everywhere." That doesn't follow, nor is it true, and charismatic abuses don't help the situation.

Everything about our contending for the faith rests on Who Jesus Christ is.
He is the center, the bullseye. Sin means "to miss the mark" and so to misunderstand Him in all His revealed glory is to sin.
And this leads to other "misses" with regard to everything that flows from Him.
We must ALL see the same Jesus.
We must ALL say the same thing as God.
To do otherwise is to oppose Him.
Another word for opposing God is "adversary" and that word is translated "Satan."
But ultimately every child of truth is being taught the Word of Truth by the Spirit of Truth about the God is Truth.
And we will all arrive at the truth at the appointed time.
He IS the Author and FINISHER of our faith, after all, right?
Right.

Yes, Christ is! And I'm sure cessationists would agree. I suspect cessationists object more to charismatic excesses than to Christ Himself.
