I hope I got this totally odd subject in the right location.

I am assuming that among the readers and posters here that no one believe our world is flat.

But, was wondering if you do know anyone who does?

If so, I have a few questions I would like if you would ask them and then let us know.

1. Assuming that also the moon and sun are flat but round like a pizza is the earth round like a pizza?

2. If it is not round what shape is it. Rectangle, square, triangle?

3. What keeps the water from flowing off the end?

4. Can an airplane fly under the underside of the earth?

5. Is the underside of the earth totally flat or is it hilly?

6. What is the underside of the earth made of? Mud, rocks, maybe dandelions......?

7. If you don't know then how do you know the earth is not dome shaped?

You know... little things like this.

I mean, if I could swim long enough and would start at a point on the equator and walked westward
for however long it took, I would end up back at that starting point on the equator.

We know that there is ice at the Artic and Antarctica. Is it not true that when global warming totally
eliminates all that ice that the water from the ice will just fall off the earth no matter what shape it is.
This would be different the the oceans and seas that something is holding in place.

Yes, they believe that the Earth is round like a pizza.

They think that it's an enclosed space, covered with a dome.

No, it wouldn't be able to get outside the dome.

Doesn't really matter, since no one would be able to get outside to see it.

6. What is the underside of the earth made of? Mud, rocks, maybe dandelions......?

Most of them would insist that the Bible clearly says the Earth is flat, with a dome covering it. They then point to vague passages in the Bible to "prove" it.

You know... little things like this.

They believe the Antarctic is actually a huge wall that surrounds the Earth, forming the base of the dome sky. They claim that any tales of people exploring the Antarctic are hoaxes perpetrated by the government(s), the same way they insist that all pictures of the Earth as seen from space are hoaxes. They have a really really long list of things that they claim are hoaxes.

Thanks for your input. I personally know someone who 40 or so years ago was on an Antarctic exploration trip.

Hmmmm, covered by a dome. Actually that is a terrific idea and would definitely work hand in hand with Joe Biden floating that idea recently of
spreading something in a layer over the earth to block the sun and stop (fake) global warming. LOL

I surly would like to see what passages in the bible they believe says the earth is flat.

Such a crazy idea.

Flat earthers take the Bible literally when it describes heaven, earth, sheol, firmament, etc.
You know, the earth that is stationary and sets on pillars with a firmament that has windows in it.
Flat earthers will argue that God wouldn't have inspired men to describe it this way if it were not the way it really was.
They believe scripture over NASA.
According to scholars the descriptions of heaven and earth in scripture would literally end up looking something like this:



It's about the same as all other ancient people believed; the 3-tiered creation of the heavens, earth, and the underworld.

OK. I'm confused. The foundations for heaven make it appear that there is a great depth to things. Depth of the seas... And then the great deep... and the earth is sitting in the middle of this with foundations dipping below... Certainly cannot be flat from top, heavens to bottom, the great deep. and there is no way I would call this flat... but then I guess I have a vivid imagination.

Only thing I really want one of them to do is... I wish one of the people would get in a jet or a hot air balloon and go under the earth so I can finally know what it is like.
Maybe they could get Elon to build something that would work.

And they better take a real camera and not a cell, cause I am sure there are no cell towers down there.
