Does God answer prayer?

Can anybody here show that God has answered a prayer that isn't just a mundane coincidence or a healing testimony?

And if the testimony is a healing one, is it possible to know if God performed the healing?

If God answered your prayer, and it isn't connected with mundane life, what was that?

Does God sometimes say "no" to your prayers? If so, how do you know that? Did He tell you that through direct revelation or was it just through time you came to think your prayer answer was "no"?

I have some.

First, I think a "no" is a instinctive thing where 'this is just not happening.' I will still plan things, but if 3 obstacles come up and make it unworkable, I will likely stop.

I have been praying to get up a geo kiosk at church, but I really want to be joined by someone so it isn't just me. About 2 months ago, they let me have the go ahead, and suggested 2 people, both of whom were quite puzzled to be asked. So I keep waiting for a 2nd. Now there is a driveway project that may tear up the driveway and so maybe a delay was good.

I once had to make a trip overseas to visit a family member who seemed to be despondent. I didn't really know where to begin, but took some tips from friends of his nearby. One of them was on the grounds when I arrived and talked for a minute before he left. There was a chair in the carport and I sat and prayed for any new 'opening' word. But I was interrupted by 4 animals coming right at me, 2 neighbor dogs chasing 2 wild guinea fowl partners. The dogs stalled when they saw me, but the birds came right at me, then through the outdoor kitchen, knocking into things. One ended up on the roof with his horrible crowing sound.

All this time I thought my relative was inside, but that this would get him out and talking. So I went down to his end and was going to knock but the door was open. He had gone outside to find out what happened but on the opposite end of the house. 'Well, I didn't know you were coming.' And we had our opening.

Yes, I mean events that are typically called "coincidences" too.

I should have put that into my Original post. Sorry about that.

Well I believe that was an answer. I could have happened 10 other times, right. Jane Eyre could have been missed by Pastor St. John.

At L'Abri Fellowship, one August, with the windows open at the chalet, a Christian Science woman dominated a discussion about pain, getting louder and louder, saying 'there was no such thing as pain.' Some of the staff privately prayed for God's help in dealing the situation as she sounded out of control.

A wasp flew in the window and went right for her neck. It took her down. There were nurses nearby and they helped her with epinephrin, etc.
